LAUNCHING My Tuned F150 ECOBOOST - MPT 93 TUNE with DRAGY Runs
I finally got my SCT x4 Tuner with tunes from MPT. My 3.5L Ecoboost F150 pulls so hard now with the 93 prx tune. I also got an E50 tune I have to try next. Hopefully will take it to the dragstrip soon! Thanks for watching!

That's a 6,500 lbs V6 pickup truck doing 13-second quarters. If you're not happy with that something's wrong with you.
Just ordered mine! Can’t wait

Did you get it tuned yet? How do you like it
Hey I take those roads every day to work, Good to see some local content.
That’s awesome
Great run! Tunes are like magic for the 3.5 ecos. I run a E30 tune on my Raptor and it’s great, need to do the E50.

@@cobracarlos I will!
Good results, but the DA must be high where you’re at. Our 21+ ecoboost are running 13.7s stock tune and mid-high 12s on 93 tune only. I ran one stock with a passenger and tool box in the bed full of tools, it ran 14.0 @98 stock and the. 12.97 @102 with a 4.4 0-60. You also need to leave harder, 2,000 rpms in these trucks is literally 0 boost off the line. U can launch these at 3,000-3,300 on the foot brake. And they leave like an animal

that’s crazy fast! No I’m in Florida so at sea level, will definitely try leaving at 3k rpm 🙌🏽
Dragging pulls
I was running E30 tune, bought three 5 gal jugs for mixing because the nearest station with E85 in in Lake Nona… after 2 revisions, the difference in power wasn’t worth the headache/stress/anxiety. E50 is a different story. An ethanol content sensor would’ve been helpful and put my mind at ease, but even those can be off.

That’s funny because I just tuned the truck for e50 and it was pretty stressful, check out my latest video! Power difference was definitely noticeable compared to 93 though
I love my 93 tune on my 13' 3.5L. Its been tuned for 100k and transformed the drivability of my truck!

I just bought a 13 3.5 platinum with only 22k miles. Got a cold air intake, exhaust cut out and saving up for high flow down pipes and SCT+ live wire tuner to really wake it up

@@hunterburch2675 MPT and 5 star are great for the tune. Don't forget a 170° thermostat for overheating issues. You will get a completely different truck when it's tuned right!

@@bugs825 I’ve heard a catch can and charge pipes (I think it was charge pipes I read) are essential too before modding

@@hunterburch2675 kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3qT2ZWKm7nWl5M.html This si what I went off of. You just need to understand the basic principles of a boosted intake to assemble it correctly for a fraction of the cost. Don't forget the check valve! One thing I did differently was mount the cans in front of the radiator, just behind the grill. This allows better cooling of the cans and removal of blow by.

@@hunterburch2675 the stock plastic charge pipes actually flow very well. $350 for 15 hp max is not the best investment return. I'd go with a 2 stage intake or catless downpipes for a bigger return. The exhaust is also an easy mod as I removed my muffler and welded a 3" piece of pipe in its place, as the exhaust is already 3". It sounds decent straight piped for a $25 mod and quieter than cutouts.
Seems like a big improvement to me 🔥

E50 is nuts check out my latest video just did the tune
hold down button for 8 seconds after you turn off traction to turn off advanced traction, lose tonneau cover, leave tailgate on to preserve your bubble behind the cab.
When I want e50 I find it easiest to run down a 93 octane tank close to empty. Then put in the required amount of e85 for a 36 gal tank after testing the ethanol content. Then top off the rest with 93 octane. This way you really can't mess up. Also, keep in mind when you do your calculations the 93 is usually e10, you can test that also to be sure.
@cobracarlos

That definitely sounds like the best way to do it! Will be doing that for sure, what do you test your ethanol with?

@@cobracarlos definately do datalogs and have MPT give you revisions. It really improves the times.
I'm also on the 93-prx tune. I took my truck to the track and did a stock pass of 14.43@94mph. Then at the track(same day) installed a Mishimoto Intercooler, Turbosmart BOV, and loaded the 93-prx tune and ran 13.62@95mph. After some revisions and installed the AMS Turbo inlet pipes and Bwoody Traction bars, 2 weeks later went back to the track and ran 13.21@101mph. My truck had brand new 275/55r20 General Grabber ATX's which most likely held me back. I'll be going back soon with a set of OEM 18's and slightly shorter tire which should provide better results. Track conditions and elevation also play a role of course. Truck is definitely much more fun to drive daily.

I had a 2021 ranger 2.3l ecoboost running the same times. It was completely stock, tune only. E50 WILL DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE PERFORMANCE!

yea will definitely have to data log it, I still have the original e50 tune they sent me, ill have to make some more passes with the new revisions. thanks for watching!
Wow. What's your final drive ratio in that f150?
Does it change the compression ratio of the engine? If not, there’s still no reason to put 93 octane in that truck, correct?
Boosted vehicles especially turbo rides respond very well to tunes....

Can u keep us updated when or if u have engine problems and how many miles u had this tune on for. I use my truck as a work truck and this is cool but not sure how it will do as the miles go up using a truck for a truck, as in hauling a work trailer every day.

That’s a good question, I would go on the mpt fb group and ask that question. There’s tons of people that have been running these tunes for years and abusing their trucks 😂
Ah man lets talk the whole time and not even hear the truck shift.
