I bought the vident iauto 702 pro would not draw power via obd2 port only through USB so it is going back I'm looking at this or the ancel fx4000

The CRP479 scan tool comes with a one year free update. Then you have to pay for a subscription fee the following year. What happens if you don't renew? Will it still allow you to perform scan and other reset special functions?

The scanner still works like a champ but without new updates if there is any! Mine stills works great nd to be honest you can't even notice the new upgrades lol

At first i thought launch were garbage but man they are top notch like snapon and the other big timers and the beauty is the price!! On this one i was skeptic because made in China but the USA its also own by the same company just different distributors!

Yes many cars! But the scanner have its limitations! Only use this one to erase codes with the special functions! My daily scanner is the "x431pro mini "best scanner less than $1000 dollars

I am new to the Launch brand. I just bought the CRP429C on the 30 November 2019 great tool the CRP479 looks like it does more for a cheaper price. Why?? Please add more videos so we can see how it works as might have to get that one and sell this one..

I will buy the 479 ,I know it only can scan engine,but it can do all the reset like my work that pro3,429 can scan more,but still only 4 not all ! So I will buy another full scan tool like JDiag M2 ,to do full system scan,it cheap,and you can hold it on dashboard, have fun.

I find out, diagnostic scan and obd2(jobd and eobd),are two different scan,diagnostuc scan is the one usually use cheap one like 479 only can scan engine,429 only 4 thing srs abs engine and transmission,they are not full system scan,you can buy a JDiag M2 to do the full system wireless scan,about a$35,and if you work on car,buy the 479 have 15 reset for doing work,427 only 11 reset,obd2 scan just scan emission control.

Is this an original LAUNCH product or a clone / fake

Yeah but that scanner its limited, better save up for a bidirectional scanner like the pros mini for less than $700 and 2 years of free update

Thanks for responding, I am in Venezuela and I receive less than 20 dollars a month. I have a launch crp touch pro and I would like a new one, which has special functions and actuators. and this is at a good price.
