I'm a carer. That's right what we get . But it's not just about money. I don't look at it like that. I never have. it's all about a loved ones needs and making them feel safe , wanted , loved and well looked after and their needs are constantly being met. that's more important to me. You keep these nincompoops in fancy hotels and pay through the nose for their stay. All costs are covered from public funds. But these people's behaviour discourages real tourists from visiting England, although they would pay from their own pockets for their stay in British hotels, and that would contribute to the hotel's income and the Country's tax revenues. You do not want paying tourists, but want illegal migrants you have to pay for. Madness. Yet there is a method in it.

I am Irish, and live in Australia now as I could not make ends meet in Ireland. Four years in university studying mechanical engineering, couldn’t make it work in Ireland so forced to emigrate to Australia at the age of 28, after trying for four years post graduation to make ends meet. I have spent 30,000$ on visas to stay here, unbelievable I know, and never received a cent from the government even through the pandemic. Most of my workmates here working in construction are Irish, English and Scottish, people who could not make it work at home. While our native countries are being repopulated by foreigners.

I'm a plasterer in England and its impossible mate, the wages are somehow going down. No one can afford work, insurance companies and housong associations are getting all the meat since no private homeowner can afford the work without help or installments. I'm visiting peoples houses and they're falling apart, I'm working in houses where the kids are crying for food and the mums finding bits of ham from the fridge to feed them saying "we get paid in 2 days we will give you bangers and mash then youll be okay" whilst I stand there and tell them the business I work for is charging them 4x what I would charge. I'm going home to a freezing cold house where twice a month my lights go out. Employment law doesn't even seem to exist, every business is breaking the law and none of them get sued because everyone is so poor. My neighbours have got rid of their cars, I'm the only one who can shell out 300 quid a month to insure my car which has a value of 1.3k now. Public transport doesn't work, there's no housing, doctors are hard to come by and I'm not even registered at a dentist as they're all full. Go to a hospital its all Asians, go to a dentist and its asains treating Asians. I'm going to leave this place as soon as I've saved enough and I'm never coming back. My family came her from Ireland to build a life and one generation later I'll be leaving to do the same. Fuck this place and if I can help burn it down and destroy all the cameras that charge you to drive to work I'll do that. This place needs to burn.

It is truly disgusting that these illegal immigrants get free hotels and money, when I’m being evicted so my landlord can put the rent up, so I have to join the countless English homeless that don’t get any help from our government, just to see an illegal immigrant living in my flat in the future..

I am 64 and have worked all my life, apart from two years when my eldest son was battling acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. I ended up as a single parent to my two sons, not through choice, but as l had a mortgage to pay, l worked every hour l possibly could to pay my bills. I am due to retire in November 2024, but due to health reasons, l am taking early retirement. For 13 months l will have no money coming in so will have to live off my savings to pay my way. I can understand people wanting to come here for genuine reasons, but when you think that they are going to be provided with a roof, whatever it may be, over their head, hot food, medical help, hot water etc all paid for by the tax payer, l get just the slightest bit annoyed. The government needs to get its act together pretty soon, and the opposition party needs to stop bickering and point scoring and work with the government to find a real, working solution that will save the British taxpayer millions.

This is no joke now .. people don’t want gangs here and that’s what’s happening . .. There’s homeless brits here with children on the street.. get rid of Sunak

I am so sick of this. My daughter came over to resettle in the UK with her Australian fiancé last year. They both have jobs but have been unable to make ends meet. My 42 year old daughter and her husband work extremely hard and have good, secure jobs. They have never left these shores. They live in central Essex in a small 3 bedroom house, one little girl, one car. They barely make ends meet and can't afford holidays. We're retired and we help where we can. What exactly was that 7% pay rise that the news keeps banging on about that apparently everybody's had?

We could easily solve this what we lack is the will. When they land on our beaches it should look like the 1st scene of saving private Ryan.

If only our own British citizens could aspire to living like that.

The benefits were increased earlier this year. The benefit cap (outside London) was £20,000, it is now £22,020 (outside London). The benefit cap in Greater London was £23,000 and it is now £25,323.00. Some people don't earn this amount from working. No wonder these migrants can't get to the UK fast enough.

I'm a British citizen that eats about 10 days out of every 30 haven't had my heating on for 3 years have massive health problems can't get a dentist appointment can't get a doctor's appointment and I'm 6 years overdue for a scan on my kidney cancer it's time the immigrant prime minister is held accountable for trying to destroy our country while he gives immigrants the holiday of a lifetime makes me sick

This really needs to end. There are real cases of those needing refuge, not that all should get it, but this is crazy. This video alone should have authorities forcing him to pack his bags & send him back out to sea.

I'm thinking about spending a few weeks in the UK but I'm apprehensive on actually spending money on the venture other than a couple of quid for transport. So I'm headed to France, then to the UK where I can get free room and board off the British taxpayers

Can I come back as an immigrant as they are getting more than me as a87 year old who has paid taxes and lost my father in war at 6 year old no Nh no welfare no benefits till 1945

I do however feel we should help and other European countries have done far more than us in all fairness. On the subject of able-bodied young African men I'd point you in the direction of serious home office failings in regards to the processing of such people ( can't actually believe they found someone worse than Patel but hey, the tories are in a race to the bottom) especially considering the chronic lack of labor in this country causing farmers to actually plant less crops because they can't be harvested. You mentioned polish and romanian supermarkets? Bear in mind we were part of the EU for many years and these people came with the freedom of movement that allowed (that's gone for us now in case you hadn't noticed, another tory boon!) so it's obvious they might wish to buy products not generally available here. Try one like I did many years ago and you might be pleasantly surprised. In short the right wing tories have nigh on destroyed this country over the last decade so I'd urge you again not to fall for this division. Unless you're seriously wealthy (tens of millions) they are not interested in helping you, rather just manipulating you for your vote.

I am a single mother who’s got Masters in Mechanical Engineering and a Post Graduate in Computer Science working hard and being hungry for most of my student years. I legally immigrated to the US as a computer specialist 24 years ago. Worked hard all my life, raised and gave my daughter high education who is finally making decent money and only on my 60th birthday was able to stay in a luxury hotel on the ocean because my daughter paid for it. This young laughing man knows something that I don’t know since he is able to take a bee line to a life without all the hard work and efforts that most people has to go through in their lives. He must be very grateful to a current leftist dominance in western culture for his privilege to cut the corners to a life of privilege.

How do you stop the boats? Tell the coast gaurd and the RNLI to stop collecting people. Put the Navy in the channel and turn them round. Arrest everyone who has got here, put them in chains and take them back to France. When people see their £5000 or whatever is wasted they will stop paying it to the smugglers.

Defund the RNLI would be a better option

This is so upsetting to me. I came here legally 4 years ago from America and have spent thousands on Visas. My reason for being here is I married a Brit, and our marriage has been genuine. It has been very difficult building a new life here, while these young men are supported by the British people, many who are going through financial hardship right now. Send these men home!

I came here after I was nearly killed by British / Nato bombs in the illegal bombing of Serbia. I had no right to refugee status. I spent 12 years in the immigration process paying over 10 K in fees and much more on international fees for my masters degree. I was paying tax all those years and had no access to public funds whatsoever. Not to mention the psychological abuse by the home office . Now that I know that Britain is occupied and that English people are not in charge it all makes sense. The bombing of my country and all the unfair treatment I have been through

No, the USA is the laughing stock of the world, look at our president and what he has done to the country. This is happening all around the world and it is intentional.

I'm Canadian, I'm eligible for an ancestry visa for UK, but the cost is around 6000 pounds, mostly due to the medical surcharge. It's far cheaper to go in a dinghy, but sadly my skin is the wrong colour. Plus, I have to show work history, criminal record check, and proof of finances to support myself. This whole thing is a slap in the face to Commonwealth citizens who may want to move to another Commonwealth country. On top of the fact that my grandparents were paid to leave Scotland- here in Canada if my grandparents had been indigenous and been paid to leave I'd be sitting on a ton of 'reparation' money right now. The world has gone mad.
