Noor Jehan appeared as a godly figure on earth. It's learnt she loved humanity and always chose to befriend people around her. A likable person who had equal eye for India and Pakistan although she was a Pakistani national. Allah bless RIP.

I don't think today's Pakistani ladies are so tough, youthful and charming. Noor Jehan was one liked and loved by anybody came across. Most attractive youth of those days. One would prefer meeting her time and again. Decent person. RIP.

I do declare anybody would perform like Noor Jahaan. She was God of music for India and Pakistan. People will remember her for ages ahead.

Madam Noor Jahan was a distinguished personality who maintained friendship worldwide. Individual was a lovable person once met wouldn't go out of mind. Her behaviour her feeling and etc. RIP.

I was in Karachi university when this first time was on air via PTV. By next morning it was a hit. This was the miracle of Noor Jahan. A very sweet memory is attached to this. Till I am alive this will never get old.

But but but she is so talented. Raag is the knack for the needed ambience. This is the exact raag and many other. Up and above. Feel the beauty. Be there. Very star-studdedness. Those realms.

She stood out from the crowd thanks to her fantastic voice and authoritative attitude towards life. Her entire life is a metaphor of dominance, both in music and in real life. I never heard or learned of her being decimated at the hands of someone or something.

No one could compete Noor Jehan vis a vis her personality, liberal VIP Culture and whatsoever : Allah was great to awarding her all possible endowment. Allah bless.

Madam is legend, her songs will be around for a log time. A real LEGEND.

Well as per those few ustaads who led in then classical music considered noor jehan as "ruhani gaika" which means the "singer from soul", {read in a british article} but i think she was far spectacular than these mastery compliments and after which no one enjoyed the same crown yet.

Yes you are right the bandish sung by Bare Ghulam Ali Khan, Pandit Jasraj and others is pure classical ( Raag Bihag) whereas this one is a modified semi classical version for a film song. Nevertheless so beautifully sung.

Thank you, Jamal! I was waiting for this particular video. It took me back to my childhood, when I used to watch Madam on PTV. Made me cry! Allah Madam ko jannat mein maqaam ata farmaaye, aur tamaam gunah maaf farmaye...aameen!
