Perfect timing to find this video. We just replaced his stripped servo motor gears yesterday. But today my son has already stripped the gears again. He was rough with the car. But the gears should have lasted longer. Time to buy the metal gears.

The one i putted in my prerunner. I also installed hotracing bellcrank steering. I recommanded this to everyone. You will be satisfy with your true and nice upgrades.

You pretty much have to do this upgrade right when you get the car. Don't even bother buying the car unless you but the servo upgrade because you aren't gonna be driving long without it. Maybe 1 run.

traxxas should REALLY have a better servo standard....mine lasted about 2.5 batteries

Yes but with a lipo you'll ruin the motor in no time. These motors reach 175 degrees after a 15 minute run with the included NiMh battery. With a higher capacity LIPO you'll just cook the motor.
