We as a filipino people, adore so much to ASIN. even up to now, if asin perform ,we always wanted to hear their song. Their spirit and style of music is very pure and admirable. It gives us peace and the feeling of connection of human and nature ,even youre not under the sun or moon ,or even youre not in the middle of the forest, but the feeling of your always in heaven, because their music is very relatable to our filipino lives. In connection to everything, family, politics, and nature. We admire them and love them so much. The feeling that binds us together, the islands of luzon, visayas and mindanao. The whole Philippines. Thanks for this wonderful world. 🙏♥️🇵🇭

ASIN is translated as Salt in English... Metaphoric in the sense that they are a Country Band in the 70s that sang about the beauty of the country side, the children, the wind and dust... Salt is everywhere, from the sea to the mountains that gives flavor to the fresh fruits and veggies that was cultivated by the hard work of the farmers... and NOT listening to their music is A SIN.

Oh thank you so much for reacting to them, that band is called Asin, salt in English, they're songs until now are being played on the airwaves. Asin songs are really refreshing to the ears ...that song was one of their greatest hits back then. They're songs create a lot memories after listening to them... you are correct their compositions were like poems either environmental or love songs they really ryhme like poems and the choice of words they used in all their lyrics were deep and the melody, gosh, would automatically stick in your ears after listening to them, so lovely, so reminicing... they're songs are their greatest heritage to Filipinos...thank you so much once again for your wonderful reaction to our classic artists and their songs.😍God bless. Peace✌️

Asin (Salt in English) was initially formed in 1976 as a trio namely Cesar (Saro) Bañares, Pendong Aban & Mike Pillora. Lolita joined the band the following year after she met Cesar. This band was among a few which were bold enough to write progressive songs which raised political, social amd environmental issues during a martial law regime. If my memory serves me right, the group was tragically disbanded in the 2nd half 80s after the murder of Cesar Bañares. When we were in college, we would catch them live at a bar called Mayrics accross University of Sto Tomas along España Blvd.

ASIN (salt) fronted by Lolita Carbon (though the other members sing too) is Folk-Rock legend. I love all of their songs. Speaks eloquently and true of every time, to every generation. Their voices especially when they were younger are just perfect.

One of the most beautiful songs and lyrics ever made in PH. Please listen to the studio version of this and their other songs. It’s a folk rock and it’s a very different vibe

I love how you guys appreciate music and that theres no border, language barrier when it comes to music as the beauty of it goes beyond the language. You gotta hear asin on their younger years as the voice was more crisp and soothing to the ears. A true folk band!!
