a lil correction, 'Bagimu Negeri' isn't really the national 'anthem' of Indonesia since our national anthem is the 'Indonesia Raya' song. But Bagimu Negeri is one of the wildly popular national patriotic songs and the meaning itself is pretty clear, so they use that song as a form of promise. Plus, cmiiw but people can get arrested if they make a new arrangement or mix our national anthem to other songs- that's one of our law skskksks

They use the real places to main stages and part of song. Actually this is medley folks song or traditional song from many region in Indonesia like Java, Bali, Papua, Borneo and many more. Every part song have different language (local language), different costume and different culture that show about Indonesia diversity. This MV for celebrate Indonesia independence day, so when music upbeat and rock you can hear the speech from our first president when declare independence in 1945. At the end that Indonesia patriotic song. The dragon was mythologic creature from Javanese and balinese culture Indonesia. I hope you understand and enjoy 🇮🇩

All the set taken in Bali. Main stage with LED was located at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. Giant dancing statues are at Royal Pita Maha resort. Man playing like a guitar (called SAPE) was located at Mount Batur. Guys who playing plate dancing located in Nusa Park. Mother who sang lulaby for a son also in Nusa Park. All the song is medley of some folksong from different tribe in Indonesia with their traditional costume. The song in the end is one of national song of Indonesia. All of was located in Bali. You should visit one day 💪

The most CGI may be only the avatar islands, the dragon, and the flowers at the grand piano

Btw all those was traditional clothes (include the head ornaments) and we still use it sometimes in the important days like independence day, Kartini day, wedding and etc. And the song was a compilation of traditional song (not in bahasa but in tradisional language) from each city in Indonesia. The closing song is national anthem wich mixed with declaration of independence speech by our first president (and first vice president), Sukarno-Hatta, real voice audio from1945. Before independence declaration speech, there is a lullaby style folk song from Java where every lyrics is magical spell/words, a pray, a good hope that in the near future the baby surrounded with gift from God, a man/woman who will defend his/her land and nation all out body and soul. This magical pray repeated as underlined bold statement as national promise under the flag in the closing national anthem. Creature in the closing segment is cgi. A mythical mix of dragon-eagle adapted from a mythical creature carved since Majapahit/ancient kingdoms era, Antaboga. That will rise to protect, with endless wealth. It was released 17 august in commemoration of Indonesian's independence day and the speech along with the drum is the original speech audio from declaration of independence back in 1945

Novia was selected from numerous other talents cause she met the major criterias, such as beautiful voice, a very native Indonesian appearance, her outgoing, accommodating and humble personality, her love for traditions and the environment among others. One of my fav is her cover of the song Begging where she was jamming n chilling with this musical team in the traditional 'keroncong' version. You guys shd check it out.. Cheers from Singapore 🇸🇬 😊

It is real place guys, they do travel to film this, the singer actually used 8 different clothes to represent each song to each region traditional clothing. Its was make to celebrate Indonesia independence day. Yes Indonesia was under japanese occupation but its already prepare for independence and hiroshima bomb did help speed the process.

Ohhh thank you so much Waleska and Efra. Sending you tons of love from Indonesia. This music video was made as part of the Independence day celebration. By the way, In case you get this statement wrong 'Indonesia is the most beautiful land in the Universe' at the beginning of the video, I guess was added for marketing purposes only. We all believe that every places are equally beautiful. If you'd like to understand what this video is about, here are some details. I may not be 100% correct, but at least it'll give you a much deeper understanding about the messages that Alffy Rev, Novia Bachmid and Doni Salmanan are trying to deliver. MOST PEOPLE WERE ASKING: ARE THOSE FLOATING ISLANDS REALLY EXIST? Of course no. What this video trying to tell is that we have plenty of unique historical sites spread over many different islands from west to the eastern part of the country. Of course they're not floating in real except Pura Ulun Danu, Bali which situated on the lake. Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Tongkonan (Tana Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Magelang), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Again, All of the buildings and nature sceneries are real but yes, CGI effects applied to make it looks more cinematic. WHAT ARE THOSE HEADPIECES SHE WORE? Those headpieces (crowns) she wore in general is called TIARA for females or MAHKOTA for males (the name will change based on the tribe where it originated). In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member. Both Tiara and Mahkota are normally made of gold or silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a diamond. It has to be one with magical power. Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head as the most important part of your body and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat. Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born. Nowadays, anyone can wear those kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions. Traditional costumes worn in the video: 1. From the ethnic group (Tribe) of Dayak in Kalimantan called Ta'a (for females) Sapei Sapaq (for males). Their headpieces are made of Hornbill feathers. This is just one of the many traditional costumes belong to the Dayak tribe. 2. I think is from the Kohongian tribe in Sulawesi Utara. This just one of the many of them in Sulawesi Utara. 3. Based on the headpiece she wore, I think it is from the Asmat tribe called Sali made of bark and decorated with cassowary and bird of paradise feathers. Again, there are so many other traditional costumes in Papua. 4. Kebaya Labuh from the province of Riau. 5. Limpapeh Rumah Nan Gadang from the province of West Sumatera. 6. Payas Agung, Bali. 7. Kebaya Brokat from West Java. 8. Bula Molik (Crescent) made of silver and Gold, NTT. WHAT ARE THEY SINGING? (Please refer to the traditional outfits as well because the songs and outfits represent the region where they originated) This video showcases only 9 of traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group with 1430 tribes existed in Indonesia. The main song is Bagimu Negeri - One of our national songs. NOTE: As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that. By the way, here's the list of the folk songs featured: 1. Paris Barantai from Kalimantan Selatan 2. Si Patokaan from Sulawesi Utara 3. Sajojo from Papua 4. Soleram from Riau 5. Janger from Bali 6. Manuk Dadali from Jawa Barat 7. Anak Kambing Saya from Nusa Tenggara Timur 8. Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato from Sumatera Barat 9. That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations. WHO DID THE SPEECH AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT? It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno. WHAT IS THE SYMBOL THAT AWAKEN THE DRAGON? The whole video features 9 traditional songs from 9 different parts of Indonesia in 9 different languages. The independence day 17 Agt 1945 yes it is the time when the world war II ended with the bomb at Nagasaki and Hiroshima and Japan lost the war. We were at war with Japan who tried to "colonialize" Indonesia and saw the time to declare our independence. It was a hard fought independence. The dragon called as Antaboga, a mythical creature being told at the era of Majapahit, an old kingdoom. Antaboga and Garuda bird are expected to protect Indonesia

the production of this video started on 28th July 2021 and was completed on 16th Aug 2021. it was aired to commemorate Indonesian Independence day 17/8/2021. you may not have noticed, but alffy's electric guitar was custom-carved in Bali during the shooting process. suggest you watch the 'behind the scenes' series (eng. subtitled). the editing process was quite arduous cause aside from a few cameras, they only had 1(one) 'editing PC' to work with... (total budget : approx US$ 145 thou. - supported by non-commercial donor together with the ministry of education & culture). am very proud of Allfy & co... a dedicated bunch of young energetic talents.
