I love this song, and as a Finn, I'm so happy we all seem to love it. Even if I thlnk we might have an actual chance to do very well at the ESC this year, I'm just over-joyed just by the fact that the world gets to see this performance. 💗

What people dont know is that Finnland has a history of Tango. Dont ask me why, they adapted it some time ago, there is a lot of Tango going on in Finnland with finnish singers, so the Cha cha cha refers a little bit to this.

This was a great reacting - specially from man, who belongs the latin culture! I'm so glad you found this song a way that respects your culture aspects, because that is the way it does! This song has a strong wtf factor - and I'm half Finnish, half latina! The story seems to be that at first Käärijä's somewhat stoic and tough, he doesn't have the courage to be himself. Then he drinks some piña coladas and eventually opens up. Towards the end of the song we see him for who he really is.

Yeah, it starts off with hypermasculine vibes with that muscle bolero, and with the growling, dark style. He is controlling and competitive, showing off, and wants to keep everyone at a distance and in a leash. In the end he opens up and gets even emotional, and eventually also joins the dance in a social way, as just one of the dancers. It's the archetypical Finnish Friday evening story, with the lyrics being about getting over your social anxiety.

I saw your video after some (white) Finnish people posted about how horrible the song is because of Cultural Appropriation of Latin culture and colonial references to slavery etc. I was really sad for a moment thinking I had misunderstood everything and needed to consult my Cuban friends. After speaking to them and seeing your wonderful video I feel I can "legitimately" cheer for Finland again. I am not happy with finnland coming in as second. As a German I could me fully concentrate on which I am going to root for the win. It was clear, that was not the German one :D The Swedish Song was not bad, but had in my point of view nothing what really stood out. And it was a song which we heard thousands of times. nothing special at all.After listening to Käärijä I was more or less sure this would be gonna win. Sadly it did not. Many people, including me, have wondered about the green garment. The best I could make of it was some kind of a modern version of a Spanish bullfighter's bolero with influences from Hulk. Thank you for recognising it as a Mexican wrestling garment, now it makes more sense, since in the lyric video he was wrestling and boxing. In the live show he has understandably left wrestling to the possessed cha cha dancers, but still wearing the same garment, which is nice. I actually preferred the trousers he was wearing in the video, though.

@Juan the stageing is genius if you understand that in finland these are called EUR pallets. The finnish word for pallet is the same as the word for stage. So basically he is performing on the EUR stage.

Everybody got different taste....tho I do think..that even if your not a fan of that sort of music, a human can still appreciate the work that an artist did. @@njeila But it would not be a difficult thing to do to say "pinja" instead of "pina". Spanish, like Finnish, has consistent pronunciation rules and even though our language doesn't have ñ, it's easy to pronounce piña even in the middle of a Finnish sentence. Even if our language doesn't have letters like ñ or ß or œ, a lot of people still know them.

@@juan.espejo jaja 😄😄 a mi me pasó al revés, me gustó la canción, pero al verlo con el globo agarrado me causo un trauma 🙄😬😓😅 aún a día de hoy, no me lo quito de la cabeza. Pero este año, esta canción, me parece una fricada. Me gusta que otros países incluyan y se inspiren de ritmos latinos pero esto es un chiste y de mal gusto. Unas bailarinas solamente vestidas de Cha cha cha y un cantante que parece Hulk, unos ritmos que no son para nada tiene que ver con el título de la canción. Es más ofensivo que otra cosa, de mal gusto. No me gusta nada. Aquí en España preocupados que el Arte genuino de Blanca no se pueda llegar a entender, y sale un candidato Finlandés, disfrazado de Hulk haciendo el payaso y llevándose todo el televoto finlandés y probablemente también en de Europa al que solo le gusta, payasadas así, de poco gusto. Que triste. 🙄😓 Desde pequeño siempre he visto Eurovisión en casa, como algo emocionante, donde España, parece que nunca le han tomado en cuenta, ni siquiera con Chanel una clara ganadora el año pasado. @@zangangi para mí el punto más bajo de Eurovisión fue en la década de los 2000, cuando no habían jurados y la calidad disminuyó drásticamente porque se enfocaban en el televoto versus el arte de hacer una buena canción. En ese sentido, esta canción me recuerda a esa época de los 2000, pero tiene algo tan adictivo que no puedo explicar... es como "Uno" de Rusia en 2020: sabías que no era una obra maestra pero daban ganas de escucharla una y otra vez. Sobre España no siendo apreciada: creo que a veces es así. Por ejemplo, fue una ofensa que la "La Venda" terminara dentro de las últimas posiciones, pero no vamos a decir que han enviado alta calidad cada año. Chanel recibió el reconocimiento que merecía; ha pasado un año y seguimos hablando de ella. Creo que Blanca Paloma también dará mucho que hablar, y veamos si Europa la apreciará.

Trajeron algo que además de divertido, entraba bien en un ritmo que traía al baile y disfrutable. En España hubo unos años ahí también con Ruth Lorenzo y sobre todo Pastora Soler con una voz increíble, lo clavo, que obtuvo décimo lugar, en esa época fueron las más destacables. Artísticamente hablando. Una cosa curiosa es la votaciones de países que suelen votar cada año por su país vecino. Pero con Chanel el año pasado el jurado Italiano no otorgó ni un solo punto a España. Algo sorprendente dado los 12 puntos obtenidos por España de estos países Portugal, Macedonia del Norte, Malta, San Marino, Armenia, Irlanda, Suecia y Australia. Lo cual lleva a pensar que la música y el buen hacer, no lidio con esos "favoritismos" que países del norte reflejan en sus votaciones cada sño. El año pasado fue excepcional, y todos nos sentimos emocionados con Chanel, su actuación y de latinos reacción por todo el mundo. Que emoción fue, sentirnos todos tan bien representados, y unidos. Fue hermoso. Este año preocupa, que no se entienda el mensaje, pero otros pensamos que una buena actuación y voz con algo tan nuestro, culturalmente hablando, es algo para regalar al mundo y dar más a conocer. No se, igual este año tampoco ganemos. Pero artísticamente como Chanel año pasado, es una victoria ya de por si. Y por otra parte, es frustrante ver candidaturas así, que a mi juicio, tan sosas en ejecución, y que toman algo conocido y más bien parece una comparsa de carnaval en plan humorístico otra cosa, pero tomado a guasa, y no con una forma algún modo respetable, solo como burla. @@zangangi en mi humilde opinión, a menudo España se tropieza con la misma piedra: la balada en español. Canciones técnicamente bien hechas, bien interpretadas, pero que desde la perspectiva de un espectador que tiene que ver 25-26 interpretaciones no le genera nada. No creo que vaya a ser el caso este año con "Eaea" porque es memorable y entretenida, pero creo que Agoney era la mejor oportunidad para mantenerse dentro del top 5. ¡Dale una oportunidad a Finlandia! A mí me ha alegrado el día.
