Youngsters Arun and Teena are enjoying their time together on a shopping street and suddenly some unexpected events happen during a night on a street catch everybody present there by surprise. The movie is about how the characters there react to the incidents. The film revolves around a chain of events that occur on a night at a busy shopping-cum residential area. Some unexpected events happening.
'Times of India' rated with 3.5/5, as a convincing thriller with a line-up of mostly fresh faces. 'Deccan Chronicle' also reviewed 3.5/5 and quoted as a “A freshly brewed formula". Other reputed online movie review pages like 'Lensmen' came up with a 3/5 rating and wrote, ‘Y is a convincing thriller with least commercial compromises. It is not a social preach on women safety. But subtly through its subplots, it is saying its politics clearly’.

Don't expect a terrific extraordinary story and don't watch it with high expectations, they tried a story unfolding on a single street concludes in a single night. Definitely a decent thriller and worth watching. Its Malayalam version got applause from the audience and from stars.

సినిమా స్టార్ట్ చెయ్యగానే ఇదేదో కిడ్నాప్ డ్రామా అనుకున్నాను, కానీ సస్పెన్స్ తెలిసిన తర్వాత అర్ధమైంది. మలయాళం థ్రిల్లర్స్ చూసేవాళ్ళకి ఈ సినిమా తప్పకుండ నచ్చుతుంది

It's a decent thriller guys. I mean the film story is narrated just of a single night. Director has done a super job. Climax is really good. It's a dark movie. I will give it a 3 star out of 5.
