Luo Yunxi has a different kind of chemistry paired with the delightfully cheeky and fun-loving Song Yi in this period drama. It isn't the same as the two dramas paired with the beautiful actress Bai Lu in TTEOTM and Love is Sweet. In those two dramas the love scenes are remarkably sensual. A lot of physical intimacy was a requirement of the intensse love scenes. Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu acted really well and made fans fall in love with them as such an excellent couple! However, Follow Your Heart is a different kind of period drama where there is physical distance and little physical intimacy till episode 17 ( last episode I saw). The intimacy displayed by Jiang Xinbai is conveyed implicitly by a look, a glance, ... one has to observe carefully the marvellous facial expressions of a man attracted to the heroin, not by her facial beauty but by her fiety temperameent, bravery, directness etc. In response, Yan Nanxing's response was that so frank and direct, instantaneous, tongue-in-cheek witty reply that throws the hero off guard and speechless! I dont understand this live chat at all and am commenting based on what i saw if the drama thus far. So like other fans I am asking for English and other translations. To the producers, apologies if this analysis is wrong. I only want to promote all performances of Luo Yunxi. I am that kind of fan. But i am honest and have taken great energy and effort writing this particular comment. I know fans love LYX but no one should play down Song Yi's performance. I find her a delightful actress! Let's base acting on talent , not just beauty, in both males and females!😅❤🎉❤

I agree with your opinion. Follow Your Heart takes a subtle chemistry. It's not the kind of passionate love, but it's a gentle kind. Not a fiery one, but a slow and gentle kind. Both have their own style and merits in drama.

I am not able to say as much about other actors and actresses though I have seen and appreciated their performances. But where Luo Yunxi is concerned he chooses what suits him and rejects or remodels those he doesn't see eye to eye with . He is also particular about the actors he works with, whether they suit the roles. Once he does that he works relentlessly to make sure it will be a good if not great production. You are so right. follow your Heart is a gentle kind of drama. It is the kind that you need to listen and observe to enjoy hidden meanings, innuendoes and ambiguity before you can draw your conclusion. ❤️🌹

I scan through and may miss some action but I understand the conversation exchanges better that way. When I finish all 40 episodes, I will watch it all over again for some action I may have missed! 💕🌹🐰.

I am here again . I think i was correct in my estimation of this wonderful drama and why it almost hit the billion views mark. It could have reached that already. Waiting for Admin to confirm After episode 17 we were almost halfway through the drama. I thought it was brilliant how Jiang Xinbai gradually grew to fall more and more in love with someone whom he has never been able to see clearly. True love indeed. Love from the heart. It was touching that right to the point Nanxing shapeshifted and turned into an old woman, Xinbai still accepted her as his wife! How tenderly loving is that; It is very like a husband who still has romantic feelings towards his aging wife right to the end. I felt that while a man can be old and still be attractive to younger women, it isn't so the other way around. Age takes away more from women than men. So Xinbai is a rare kind of man. In the very last moments only did he get to see that his wife is really a very attractive lady. That was one but last episode, i think. The other part was we found out why episode 28 had no appearance of Xinbai. That was because the actor Luo Yunxi, poor man, sustained an injury in the same leg that was injured some time ago. We even saw behind the scenes videos of him on crutches. Yet he insisted in continuing with the filming so that the production could be completed as scheduled! What an actor! What a man! 🌌☄️🌟🌠👍💡🌷💕🩷❤️💥✨✨🫶💌✍️🐰✌️🙏🙏🙏

I think you need good subs and patience in understanding the language play. In Mandarin it must be superb. Even with subs it is great. I enjoyed the nuances and clever language exchanges! 😅

I am not agreeing with the fan who praised Luo Yunxi but criticised Song Yi as inferior. She is in no way inferior. Of course she isn't as well known as Yunxi yet, but she has her own fan base who loves her. 😅❤🎉❤🎉
