Latest Greatest Mite Killing Machine

Ойын-сауық

Is the Instantvap Compact the latest greatest mite killing machine? Watch and see! I think it's pretty cool. I have enjoyed using the basic Instantvap but this thing is definitely an upgrade.

The less complicated the better for me but if you like to have more control then the original would be better for you I guess. There really is not much difference in functionality. These units need cleaning every so often. Basically just pour water in the chamber when fairly hot and let it clean. May need to clean two or three times until the water is fairly clean. With the old units it would get clogged at times. I would put water in the chamber and let it boil with the blue cap secured until the temperature begins to increase past boiling. Occasionally would have to clear with a time from an uncapping fork. Or some other sort of spike.

Hi. This does not work like that. When you go down with the temp, it takes much longer to vaporize, and as the tool has a stand by use of power, because it has a heat loss, it will end up using more capacity when you lower the temp. I tested it myself. At 392 degrees F it takes to vaporize 2g 1:10. At 410 degrees F it takes 45 sec, at 445 degrees it takes 25 sec. Can you see the huge difference how long it takes?

If temps are ok I have started using Formic per instructions. I feel confident using OAV about any time of year though. Just have to be willing to do multiple treatments and use enough to get the job done. I use 2 to 4 grams per box though that is more than the “legal” limit.

Yep it’s not for everybody but I have learned once you get to a certain point it is worth spending some money to become more efficient. Time = Money. I am pleased with the machine and can get my bees treated quickly. And now that ai have two it goes very fast! The batteries are actually the crazy part if you ask me. Like you said. “Holy Begebers!”

@@brucesbees I don't care for anything that runs on a battery. When the battery dies its just as cheap to buy a new tool. I decided to buy a Honda Generator and use the tools I already have and like. I carry that generator under the bed cover in my truck but I can set it in the Gator to work on the farm, in the boat to run the flood lights, or into the breaker panel to run the house. It's small for home use but it will run a fridge or freezer. You won't use a large generator that isn't mobile but I do use this 2200.

@turdferguson5300 Nice! Sounds like you have a set up that works well for you, which is really all that matters.

The compact comes with deep discharge protection electronics! The device turns off at 15,4V, and when connecting discharged battery, it does not turn on below 17,2V. Seems like your distributor doesnt want you to know...........

Thanks for the clarification. I just failed to mention that. It is one of the selling points. The original Instantvap I ordered does not have that feature. I bought it before it became standard. But now it is standard on all units. It’s actually a nice feature that protects the batteries.

There is an information sheet when when you first open the box that says "This unit has battery protection, the unit will turn off below 15V and will not turn on for a battery that is depleted below 17V.
