yess! although my chickens don't lay eggs yet, i have 4 who look exactly the same, 2 who grew up together really close, 1 i rescued from the streets. she loves me to death now lol. although my 4 identical orphington chickens are mean and grumpy, i still love them. i dont quite know the breed of the rescue but its a beautiful black non-mature chicken. she pecks me everytime i dont hold her. my other two are beautiful aswell, both arent mature yet but one is brown and big, another has black and white spots, a big pointy tail, and feet feathers. they are all unique and healthy. the black one is still healing. she lost half her feathers, had weird rashes, and had poultry lice. i made sure she didnt have any silbings with her or parents. she was absolutely terrified and lost. i bet she escaped a farm and saw my chickens roaming around, so glad i was outside when she appeared. all is well now and the feathers are almost fully regrown. thanks for reading, i needed to tell my black chickens story somewhere.

Happy music and well-made video for a macabre story. It's called mass breeding. The good news is that people are getting more aware of this nowadays and they want to know where their products come from. New regulations want the chicken to grow and have enough space to move, go outside and get better food.

Yea. Seeing the chickens are even unable to move when being processed for meat because they are unhealthy and unable to use their legs from small cages is awful. I personally don't eat mass produced chicken and raise my own.

Dude, humans are mass reproducing at rates that are completely unfeasible for the resources on this planet. Children, babies and teens dying by the millions due to lack of food and resources. Nature is cruel and inevitable. There is no guideline to what feeding standards should be since we're the first ever species to reach an advanced enough level of cognition to produce factories such as this one. It serves a purpose in the overall scope of feeding humanity and it is what it is. Yeah it's not pretty, but nothing in this world is. Eat or be eaten, kill or be killed; we're just smart enough to take advantage of the knowledge and resources we have. Poor chikkies, though, they're so cute.

My 18 hens have 12 acres to hunt and ravage 12 hours of the day... if they lay, they lay, no big deal, neighbours get most of the eggs anyway its just great to see nature... this video brought tears to my eyes

@@tripkebab if you ever see the initials LGD it stands for livestock guardian dog and they are not friendly toward any strangers. Mine don’t allow certain birds to stay on the property and will bark as they fly over. Dogs, cats, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, possums, armadillos are just something for them to chase or kill.

These are also Cornish cross and they can’t live for not even a year since they have been bred for meat and will reach culling size in about 2 months. If they lived for 4 months they would get so big that their legs would litterly snap since they get so big.

you can also see the spots where some had no feathers due to pecking from the others. The ones not standing probably can't stand in all actuality because of how they are confined. I have no problem eating meat, especially chicken, but this is why I feel like everyone should raise and harvest their own meat.

Ffs make a deal with someone who's hens you know have a good life. Not everyone raising their own poultry is rich, we have just made choices to live a life we dont feel bad living. Get a communal farm, or fund one in exchange of ethical meat. Buy only free range meat. Even living in a flat you can choose. If you can't, change your life for the better.

as someone who raises chickens this just depresses me. No animal should lead a life like this. My chickens are happy healthy come to me when called or when they see me pull up. We dont plan on eating these ones but if we ever raise meat birds they deserve a life with dignity. The best food, grass, sun and only 1 bad day. Happy im growing and raising my own food now.

We just brought a flock of 5 for our kids. So they completely understand what it takes to get eggs , meat, raise produce etc. Meat is okay to eat but we as a group of humans way outscalled the food balance. We are smart and dumb.

I add a few meat birds to the flock of layer chickens and they all free range. The quality and taste of the meat is far above store bought. Same for the eggs.

Capons are a completely different product. Meat birds are both male and female, typically cornish cross of some kind. Males are left un-altered. Capon is a special kind of meat; it is a sterilized rooster fed a high-fat diet. Calling a male meat bird capon is like calling an adult cow's meat veal. 😉 doing your research will help next time.

Selective breeding. This was done by breeding in each generation only the fastest growing ones, until they reached this breed of broiler chickens that reach huge monstrous bodies although psychologically they are still chicks. If you listen, you can notice that despite looking like grown chickens, most of them still chirp like chicks and sometimes even have their baby-blue eyes.

Everyone who doesn’t like this has a right to. I think this was a well oiled machine that employs people and supplies a product to people that want it. All commercial farming has an impact on the environment. Not exclusive to the meat industry!

If humanity was kind and smart, they'd grow chickens on farmfields and treat them with respect and love. Most chicken would be raised healthy and we'd get eggs just like we get from farms. All because they're eating healthy foods, sunbathe & dirtbathe and giving them their most favourite treats. Corn. Then after few years passing them out and slaughterhouse. Seeing how Yokshire (Paul Thompson) treats pigs shows more love and kind than entire humanity with slaughterhouse treating animals like dirt.

@@homykdoma растение тоже боятся и стессуют только нашему глазу не заметно тогда уже нечего не есть.Я не собераюсь тказ от мяса только ге ем свенину говядину и сто на копытах.Остальное ем.Насчет как обращяются с курочками жалко ну нечего неподелать.

Остальных не могу.... самый край если мама приготовит на праздник, но ито я подумаю... мне жалко животных и считаю, что человек обязан относится к ним с благодарностью, что бы хотя бы за их короткую жизнь они жили в заботе... а те швыряли их, пинали, и вовсе за головы вешать и так далее! Это ужасно!

1- Animals are not counted as people and therefore that law does not apply here. 2- The future of humanity according to the bible which gave the law you quoted says the future of humanity is split between the saved and the damned. The saved will live for eternity in peace and love with God and the damned will be sent to an eternal fire punishing them for an eternity.

I’m shocked! That some people don’t realize what it takes to feed millions of people. Without it being automated think how disgusting it would be?

Trust me, those cages and chickens had JUST been cleaned when they shot that video. I know on the surface it's hard to imagine doing it any other way. The reality would turn your stomach. We raise all our chickens on pasture- and if all the acres of grain that are farmed to ship it in to feed those chickens in cages was turned to pasture it would produce twice as many chickens so it's a bit deceiving.

lot's of critics but what they don't realize is that there are far too many people in the world for us to live they we think we should live. Whether it's global climate change or factory farming, they are all symptoms of human over population. How do you find an equitable may to reduce the population, who gets to procreate when numbers are power. China knows it, they are trying to get more people to have children now.

The more videos I see like this make me more determined to become a vegetarian.

The world population is over 7 billion! Some folks feel free-range birds will feed this growing population? Yes, most of us eat meat and this is the reality of how it is provided. You all should be thanking them for investing in this and showing us that we'll have food security and not act avocados don't get people killed amongst other things!

@@lesner66 мы разводим кур. Они живут в курятнике, ходят по земле, кушают траву и насекомых, помимо корма. Потом мы их режем, чистим и едим. Я не против разведения животных, но не в таких зверских условиях

I'm a chicken farmer myself and I can tell you that this chickens are a good quality. Some older systems are much crueler. At this stage I'm doing free-range which gives my chickens a better life and when I slaughter them I do it as humane as possible. There's a difference between a farmer and investors. For me it's about the animals or investors it's about money

It's a tad shocking to see for the first time. In an ideal world chicken farms would raise pasture/outdoor chickens before putting them into a processing plant. But I also understand that a processing center is the most efficient way to prepare and keep the meat safe for long travel and storage. They are still food, but i feel like we could and should do a little better by them.

This is reality, though, and your proposal is not pracitcal. These farms need space. A lot of it. And the Animals need resources and food as well. On top of all that the Animals produce waste. The pollution, damage to the environment and the ozone would be unimaginable. You would be devestating the environment because you want some Chickens that are raised from bhirth for consumtpion to be able to run around a bit.

Such happy music before they are raised to about 6 months and turned into a delicious chicken sammich

The one with million-dollar chicken farming was better. Their chicken looks healthy. This one looks like the chicken would die in a week. I eat chicken btw but I don't buy any more from the shop because of what they put on the chicken (unhealthy feeds and etc) so I have my own now. And I tell you at 5 weeks broiler doesn't grow that much like what was here. They must be feeding this chicken something out of the ordinary to make it grow quickly.
