A good friend of mine (from Kissimmee) had a grandfather who was a cowboy during the very early 20th century. He would take part in cattle drives that took herds from Kissimmee to Miami regularly. According to him, the term "Florida cracker" indeed originated from the sound the drovers' whips made as they urged the herds to keep moving. Back in the day, it basically meant a cowboy from Florida. The term has unfortunately taken on a less flattering meaning these days.

Hey Adam! Love the videos -- the Florida "Cracker" story is not true at least, not in the context you may have been told. The Florida Cracker comes from the Spanish settlers when they arrived with cattle. And the Cowboys that wrangled these cattle, with whips, were called "Cracker Cowboys." A homegrown Floridian - happy to be of service! :) Enjoy!

This is why you should carry a concealed Sharpie or eraseable marker with you at all times: beneath the 'No Biking No Skateboards No Rollerblades' sandwich board sign, you should write in "No Fun". (Or, another deep cut - "Learn It, Know It, Live It"). That way, depending on your at the moment mental age and/or sense of indignity, you can choose quiet (but wipe-off) rebellion, or full out Damn The Man Save the Empire chaos permanence.

What I think is weird is barely any information on the former tenant of the Antigravity Theater building, a extinct chain of 4D motion theaters called Movie Rider, there are like no photos of the interiors and the only photo of it is from google street view, and there is barely information in general on it, what a mystery. Also there was a location apparently in Pigeon Forge also, just think it's neat.

HEY ATW...IN THE MORTEM HOUSE GIFT SHOP IS A MOST awesome mask on the very top row. It was so close in detail to the original creature that I knew immediately what it was. On the very first CREEPSHOW movie from 1982, there was a story called "The Crate" about a crate under the stairs. It had been there for a long time and was brought back from an old expedition. When it was opened, the was a creature inside with huge teeth that feasted on humans. It was referred to as "Fluffy". There was a mask of "Fluffy" on the wall at Mortem House. BTW, "Fluffy" was designed and constructed by none other than Tom Savini! Maybe someday you can go back and get a good look at it on camera!?!! Thanks.

AMC finally gave up their lease on the Celebration theater. While a local hroup is interested, it seems they don't have the money. Glad you get to spend time Micah. He strikes me as being a nice guy.

Such a shame, what a cute theatre ❤ The people that live in Celebration must be disappointed this issue can’t be fixed😢
I didn’t know Showney’s was still around! Lord, I used to be a waitress at one back in like 1995. After Hurricane Opal , it was one of the few places in town with power so it was PACKED!! Back in high school we would drive 45-60min to the nearest Krispy Kreme “hq” before you could get them in stores. We’d do this late at night then wait in the car until The Light came on. (IYKYK)
Good morning
convenient food marts , in and around louisville, ky he was from Ky
❤️
👍🏻😊 Adam, you should do a video on the at discount ticket place, the $45 ticket.
Cracker Barrel has some of the best Sweet Tea, I think, at least in Georgia 😋🥤

I do believe that this is the first time I've seen Mr the Woo in a Cracker Barrel. I'm a big fan of the place, but only partly for the food. I love their gift shops. The old timey candy section is amazing, but they usually have some great stuff around Christmas
"I'm here for the 45$ special" Ah Kissimmee...
juhuu, mr dubble chin fuzzy sideburn and adam episode😂
Sick with the flu all week! Adam has been keeping me in great spirits with the daily videos! Thanks, Adam! 😷
Just watched that advert with Ernest it,made me laugh so hard
I miss Shoney's hot fudge cake. The hot fudge cake at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank is really good. Good luck with the move!
We stayed twice at that condo resort Cypress Palms right behind Cracker Barrel. I remember way back in the early 90s my wife and I sat through one of those time share things and they gave us two free tickets to Universal Studios. Back then they were giving tickets for free. Needless to say we turned down their 90 minute sales pitch to buy a time share.
I can’t stop saying I’m movin movin movin movin
The mouse coaster closed down cause a little boy fell off the ride. But I dont know if they had ride footage or whatever, they looked further into it and its because he stood up on the ride. He was properly secure and everything was tested. He just happened to stand up for some reason.
Instead of leaf blowers, it is the season of snope machines!
I love Cracker Barrel
That's so funny that Micah sang santa belly like the santa baby song because right before he sang it I was singing santa belly♫ 😂
Was Micah at that meetup? I met you there Adam too. I still have the pin you gave me. The Trackers were there also. I can’t believe how long ago that was!
I was in Celebration twice. It was about a mile from my family's timeshare on 192. The first time, we went to a free breakfast in exchange for sitting through a timeshare presentation, and the other time we went to church at the Catholic church. I'm not sure if the shopping center on 192 counts as part of Celebration, if it does I've been to the Publix about a half dozen times.

Celebration has 2 Publix now. One was just built heading toward the Island Village section.
Adam, you really should try Starbucks Hot Chai Latte, I tried it for the first time, amazing! You can add a shot of Espresso and make it “ Dirty “ as well 😂👍☕️

:) Enjoy!

Wow that's really interesting! Proves that jumping to the obvious often doesn't pay off. 🤣 History usually has a much more fascinating (and respectful) story. 😁
Shoneys has a bar? Wow
Not $12 in Rialto, CA. More like $24... I was there yesterday. 😮

California Cracker Barrel doesn't compare to the ones in the South. Biscuits are different too.
Primeval Whirl was the name of the ride in Animal Kingdom
This is why you should carry a concealed Sharpie or eraseable marker with you at all times: beneath the 'No Biking No Skateboards No Rollerblades' sandwich board sign, you should write in "No Fun". (Or, another deep cut - "Learn It, Know It, Live It"). That way, depending on your at the moment mental age and/or sense of indignity, you can choose quiet (but wipe-off) rebellion, or full out Damn The Man Save the Empire chaos permanence.
Mmmmm...donuts 😂
What I think is weird is barely any information on the former tenant of the Antigravity Theater building, a extinct chain of 4D motion theaters called Movie Rider, there are like no photos of the interiors and the only photo of it is from google street view, and there is barely information in general on it, what a mystery. Also there was a location apparently in Pigeon Forge also, just think it's neat.
Snope Juice coming soon too Galaxy’s Edge😂
I always love your vlogs, Adam.
Thanks.
