Oh wow my sister had those Donna Parker books when I was little. She probably still does! The Gilded Age series sounds really good. I read Moll Flanders a long time ago. It was a kind of strange experience. LOL Those Bible studies are an amazing find!

That’s cool! I’m not really familiar with the Donna Parker series other than hearing someone mention it. I just finished the second season of The Gilded Age- it’s AMAZING. So gorgeous! The second season didn’t really have any questionable scenes like the first one. Not that I recall. I’m hearing that about Moll Flanders 😂

The Great Illustrated Classics are a delight! I used to buy them at a second hand store in Cali. My youngest son read Swiss Family Robinson in one day, on the couch, with his legs on the back, LOL, and all over, when he was six. It was the first time he had read a book like that with such absorbtion. I was thrilled of course. During that same time period I had read Whispers of the Bayou on a Barnes and Noble Nook! It was the first and last ebook. ugh, it annoys me when shows like that are ruined by inappropriate scenes. I got fed up one day when my son was young and we cancelled our service and never looked back. I think it's been 16 years now. Your Spirit of the South book looks so good! I like the haint blue on the shutters. The roof of the porch cover is probably the same color. I am the same with Christian nonfiction books. I don't know the author and one doesn't know if it's biblically sound unless they read it, because there's so much confusion in the reviews. Oh wow! I don't think I knew what Mark Twain's study looked like. I think I had only seen pictures of his office in his home. But his study looks like a fancy enclosed gazebo. What a fun book haul! Thank you for sharing.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I read many of those illustrated classics when I was a kid. I really wish there were more GOOD clean shows!

I love Tasha Tudor! She has super cute children's illustrated books. She lived in a cute cottage in England, very Cottage core person lol

Hi, Thinking about your books, I saw a very good rendition of Vanity Fair and then got the book to read. The video was about 2015 or 17. It was either on Amazon or Netflix. So interesting. And I found a lovely hardback of Barchester Towers with illustrations and deckled edges and read it. The only problem was it was really big and heavy to handle last summer. But very good. Enjoy your books.😊

I read a different version of the story of the girl from Trapped in Hitler's Hell. It was very moving. Moll Flanders was... interesting.

@@bethanybringsbooks It's one of the earliest novels, so it can be a little rough. Plus, if I remember right, Moll's profession was of the sort that is not talked about in polite company, and there was a LOT of drama.

I read that Trapped in Hitler’s Hell. It’s okay. I didn’t DNF but I think Ive read some better accounts. I have that Sunset in Savannah by Mary Ellis. I bought it for the cover. Whether I like it or not. 😊

I'd Be curious to see how the she reads truth bible studies are as well
