Last year I won a 16,000 euro scholarship...then I lost it

👋🏽 Hey everyone! In this video I talk about losing my scholarship after only one year of having it. This might be my biggest mistake yet but hopefully the four parts of this video will communicate the lessons I learned and maybe help you out.
Stay happy 😁, stay healthy 🌱, I’ll see you next week!

It's alright, thankfully I saw it coming and, as I say in the video, I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it. Thank you!

Thank you Emilio for your excellent honesty and help to us. I was wondering that if they wanted the payment of the year afterwards you lost the scholarship?

Thank you! No, you only start paying in full from the moment you lose it onwards :)

Emiliano thank you so much for this informative video. Have you ever thought about having Imat test? If you did not , what was the reason ( if it is possible for you tho share it)

You're welcome :) I've never really considered taking the IMAT test, I'm quite happy at Humanitas (although it is far from perfect). One of the main reasons is that Humanitas has great quality teaching and they prepare us quite well. Now, I can already foresee the comments saying 'ok but is it really worth 5x more than other universities?!'. The answer: no. The quality alone is not 5x more. But the hospital is new, the doctors and research are next level, and the international component is a massive factor. I have many classmates from all over the world, many who don't want to stay in Italy, which means that, upon graduation, I'll have a network of colleagues scattered throughout the world. Putting it all together, it seems to be a bit more worth the price. (Of course, I'm also very privileged and have two very hardworking parents, which allows me to afford it)

So basically they have the bar too high that makes it virtually impossible to keep scholarship for whole 6 years. I think they dont wanna give out scholarships in the first place, the only reason they do is to declare themselves non profit. I understand the mental toll it takes, I'm in a private highschool on scholarship and i have already failed the requirements to keep it, they wanted a 95% attendance :). Everyday I'm stressed about losing it now but they haven't done it yet.

I don't think the university has ever declared itself to be non-profit. They are a private university, after all. It's also not impossible, classmates of mine still have it, I know people that did manage to keep it for the 6 years, I just don't happen to be one of them They certainly don't make it easy, that's true, but it's definitely possible. The reasons I couldn't were mainly my bases (not having a solid chemistry foundation) and my study method and diligence. The loss is on me, they did make the requirements pretty clear even before we started uni.
