@@Marc-ww6fw collingwood rarely win games by 40+ Big teams usually play youngsters etc vs north so the games can be tight at times. Besides North just came off a win last week....pretty clear theyre currently in the best form of the whole season

As much as I hate this result as a North Melbourne fan, it's not just on the umpires. 54 points up should = a win. They might've been a factor in a few iffy decisions, but the Xerri goal from the boundary was also from a disgraceful free kick, against first gamer Jiath. The umpire paid a push into the fence, when he clearly barely touched him. Full credit to the Maggies, they are full of heart and merit.

@@daicos.afl35 Have to be objective, mate. It's actually great learning for both clubs. For North it's how to play out 4 qtrs and win, against the best. For the Pies it's to never fall asleep at the wheel, against the bottom club. Such an even comp in that any team can win, on any given day.

Apparently with Collingwood the only umpiring that matters is when there’s 20 seconds left that would of resulted in a small chance of a goal.

What a finish! Down to the final seconds, one of the highest scoring thrillers we've seen in recent memory.

What's scary is, North played really well and we chased down a big lead regardless of the opposition and we're still missing quiet a few really key players. Look out when they're back.

They well and truly might actually, Collingwood is the biggest club, success keeps the fans happy and that equals more memberships, which in turn equals more money of which the AFL profits from and as the AFL selects the umpires it's really not as far fetched as it seems...

Unfortunately for the Roos these are the types of losses that occur when your bottom team against the better one's like the Pies at this moment.

Why would Clarko sub off the tagger keeping Daicos (somewhat) contained? He was doing an okay job. Not perfect but given the margin enough.

Collingwood was outplaying Nth, but that umpire not calling that 50 was almost criminal. Clarkson made a big mistake subbing Phillips also but that got us to the point where this game fell apart from the extremely bad umpiring in referring to. Collingwood fans denying this are deliberately being disingenuous denying these facts, but hey? That’s Collingwood for you. The AFL has a lot to answer for when favouritism is obvious when it’s top sides playing lower sides.…still it was a great spectacle and Nth should be pleased with their effort. Anyway that’s just the opinion of a Hawthorn supporter and AFL fan.

Almost lost that one, it just goes to show why you shouldn't put in such a half-arsed effort just because you're playing the bottom team. That first quarter was absolutely abysmal from a Collingwood perspective, there was little-to-no effort. NEVER underestimate the opposition team, bottom side or not.

I mean this in a good way but I hope North are reeaally disappointed with this loss. They should’ve won this and shouldn’t see it as just a good performance moving in a positive direction, they should see it as a disappointing loss because that’s how they’ll get better from this.

McCreery and Steele were running with the flight of the ball and were already in the protected zone before the mark. 1 second later, the Nth player played on. There should be no question of a 50 m penalty. It was just too quick for someone to say, hang on, there should have been a 50 here. It's bloody ridiculous. And if the Nth player thought there was a 50 m penalty happening, he wouldn't have played on.

😂 Not possible, huh. They were basically rooting. 😂 But they were exposed to be for North. And I guess that it was the majority of the viewers were wanting NM to win, but it is unprofessional broadcasting. I would not want to be hearing an English soccer commentator barracking instead of calling the actual action on the field. And the same thing in the NFL and the NBA, they are pretty unbiased and they don't barrack for one side during the broadcast.

Hey everyone, the "insert AFL team name" were robbed! And I am responding to the football match by typing this in the comments of the KZread video of the end of the game. It's so typical it's funny. 😂 Basically just like that original Crows supporter in the '90s. A child in the body of an adult. 😂 "Right in front of me" 😂 But I ❤ it. Keep on whinging folks. Look how great it is working for the Demons fans. 😂 Not sarcastic, because I hate the Melbourne Dees and it makes me happy to see them continuing to whinge. I have learnt about the cultural history of the football clubs and North were never wanted and had to fight to be in the VFL. They had to fight again to stay in the AFL. Melbourne never had to and they think they should be the top team. But they never had a huge fan base. Some of their crowd numbers over the years has been very low. But you don't get too many Richmond and Geelong fans whinging about Collingwood. 🤔 Or North Melbourne. Looking at the past 70 years. It's Melbourne which is not up to the AFL standard. But they have won a premiership recently. North Melbourne won in 1996 and 1999. That is a better record than many other AFL teams. It's even more premierships than Port Adelaide in the AFL. 🤔 WB St Kilda Melbourne Demons They are the three to be relegated. Have less premierships than the Roos since 1990 for example. Since it was the first AFL season. And Carlton have less than North also.

That Norf team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked. I've seen team suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

I can honestly say that this is the second worst game I can recall, just behind the 61 point capitulation to Essendon in 2001, 54 point lead to lose the game, idgaf where you are on the ladder, that is unforgivable, I've always been a proud nmfc member but I'm fkn done, this is it, I'm out. I was so used to Collingwood being robbed and now it is the complete opposite. The last 2 years is the evidence, this is not the first time Pies have been helped. It's getting ridiculous now. Clear 50m penalty, umpire hadnt called stand, let alone play on so it's Mcreerys job to stop. That's the new rules you can say anything you like but it's the simple fact of the rules. Daicos also holding the ball 15m out from North goal 2 min prior. There is some sort of agenda here. Oh how times have changed.

@@Truthbomb101. I could use the exact same logic, and say the umpire should of called play on but didn't, just like you're saying he should of call 50m but didn't.. It looks like the umpire realized his mistake, and corrected himself, hence he let it go and called play on in the end. It's also funny how you seem to recognize that the Umpire's non play on call was a mistake, and you're fine with that, but yet you're un happy with the umpire making what you deem to be a mistake, in not paying the 50m after. Seems like you're just blindly anti-Collingwood. Even the Daicos ''holding the ball'' he actually got a hand to it, hence it was play on.

@AlexHellene First off, he didn't take 5 steps...so you are already talking bollocks. Second, Mcreerys job to not give away a free kick in that moment is to wait for the umpires directive. The ump didn't say anything and Mcreery charged in....that means its a clear free. They are so harsh on stand rule but on the most blatant one at the end of a game they decide not to pay it. You can lie to yourself all you like to make yourself feel better though.

Also the umpire realized his mistake in not initially calling pay on and corrected himself, hence he called play on. Also now that ive watched it again, Daicos didnt handle the ball, but got brought to the ground without the ball - Holding the man. So there's 2 non Collingwood calls right there that weren't initially called which you and the other Collingwood haters have no issue with.... But you have a problem with the one AFTER, that you think should gone against Collingwood... Wow, one eyed Collingwood haters really are that blind in their hate haha.

Any other team crippled with 7 of their main starters out for a decent period of time would be lucky to be in the 8. Collingwood have actually done great considering this.
