These preseason games are "audition" games. Each team will only have 11 players, 12 if the club's finances allow it. Caitlin Clark being the #1 pick is a shoo in. So will be Boston, Smith, and other players in the Fever with contracts. The players who make the cut by May 13 will be given regular contracts. So one can't expect CC to play every time. The coaches have to fill out their rosters. May 14 is the official start of the WNBA.

Dallas has to be feeling really good about Sheldon and Brown. Caitlin was great but AB really needs to step up for Indiana. They also need some bigs to do better with rebounds.

Having said that, the point in contention was whether Caitlin Clark would struggle to adjust to professional basketball. She was one of or the top scorer of the game as a rookie in her first preseason game. Case closed.

@@frankie9747 It's just the preseason. There weren't any physical play involved yet.They have one more game before the league formally opens on the 14th. CC can play at the pro level. Based on this game, the offense being run by the Fever looks like the one being implemented at Iowa. Nobody said she can't play. If Diana Taurasi's comments irked you, then watch the game when Phoenix plays Indiana the first time this season.
