I hear the sorrow and grief for Annie in his playing here. I know that the Lord has promised a joyful reunion which will overshadow all sorrows in an ever nearing day but our grief and pain is very real as well and we have to work through it. God bless you and your family Jon. I remember when she passed and even though I never knew your family personally, even now I feel sorry for this loss.

We discovered you several years ago. I was coordinating a wedding for a bride and we got to the music part and I asked her what the processional would be, and she promptly said, A Thousand Years by the Piano Guys". So I started writing it in my form and she said, "You don't know who that is do you,?" I assured her I'd never heard of the song nor the group. She promptly pulled it up on her phone and as I listened to it, tears were streaming down my face. At the end I was captivated. After she left, I Googled you and was once more captivated. I listened to it several more times and couldn't wait for my husband to hear it. When he did, he was just as enchanted. So we looked at your concert schedule and found you would be playing in Redmond, WA in the Summer. So we booked our seats (not knowing anything about Redmond nor Marymoor Park, nor that it was outside) and I worked for Marriott Hotels and booked our weekend stay. Needless to say, we were blown away, I don't know when we've enjoyed a concert more! You were truly awesome, fun and entertaining, we certainly became huge fans, bought the T-shirts and all your CDs!! We went back the following year and again, were enchanted! When people come over, we put your DVDs on so they can enjoy your music and tour the places you perform. They are converts! As the ABBA song goes, Thank you for the music. You have touched the lives of so many more people than you could possibly know. Blessings!

As someone living with a neurodegenerative disease, I've experienced a lot of "last times." It's such a challenge to keep things in an eternal perspective. This song sounds so wistfully hopeful... acknowledging the loss whilst being almost light and hopeful at the same time. I know this life is the second act of a three act play. Yes, we will have a lot of "last times" in this life... and a lot of "First times" in the life to come. I so look forward to the first time I can run, skip, jump, dance, talk and sing as my heart desires! I so look forward to the First Time I get to see my mom, sister, and grandparents again! That's what keeps me sane amidst all these last times! ❤

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your son💔😔 We’re in the midst of losing my beloved 56 year old father-in-law to terminal cancer and i hadn’t caught up with TPG’s new music in a while - heard this and immediately started crying. So poignant…having music that feels like it expresses our love and loss and truly a powerful thing. Praying for peace and comfort for you, and that your son’s legacy will always live on🥺🫶🏽

Various components of this piece seem familiar… like snatches of memory. Bach or Handel opening, a church service… floating to personal memories, a story that will be continued tomorrow night… a theme from a cartoon moving to a lullaby. A return to traditional- like piano lessons… a memorial… then floating away again. Light, melancholy.. beautiful.

I feel the same as @kathyjohnson! 😢 I too think of you & your daughter often. I know people tell you that you'll see her again -- and you will -- but death is hardest on those left behind. It's ok to grieve, to miss her so badly that you think your heart will explode with need & pain. Let Him be your Refuge in those times. However, don't let *ANYONE* put limits on your grief. It will take its own time to subside. Until then, lean on Him -- and your Brothers & Sisters in Him -- who understand. Let Him, & they, be your leaning posts until you no longer need one -- _however_ long that takes. (BTW, be sure not to put limits on anyone else's grief either. Let Him have his Perfect Work, and just support those who need it as best you can.) It's obvious from the posts below that you and your daughter are greatly loved & are the focus of many prayers. We all hope that you & yours can take comfort from that too. May El Shaddai bless & comfort all those who love you and/or your daughter. May He grant all of you the Peace That Passes All Understanding, just as He has already given you His Love. With Many Prayers For Comfort & Peace, Deb LS
