@@zeussoulhd2169Chara is soulless,similar to Flowey. They cannot feel empathy. They lost their SOUL when asriel died with it. “This SOUL resonates with a strange feeling.” “I cannot understand these feelings anymore.” All they feel is your LV and they already had a “kill or be killed mentality” because of the humans that killed them and Asriel. They figured “maybe power is important” Watching you slaughter everyone,and with no empathy or soul nothing could really help them think otherwise. If you do a second genocide,however. Chara calls you sick in the head,realizing you only did it for fun and not for power. For what they thought was a “greater good” Essentially the “Chara” you see at the end of genoicde is basically the “Flowey” version of Chara. Not the “Asriel” version,the real them.

I kinda wish Asgore using the human souls to pulverize you was how the Genocide ending went. It'd be fun if after the grueling slog of the genocide run, you just weren't allowed to have an ending lmfao. From an unfair battle with Sans to an unwinnable battle with Asgore.

Defeats everything that the Genocide ending has to offer (Chara, False True Pacifist Ending, glorious Erasure, and showing how much of a monster you really are.) But still, cool idea!

Well, the whole point of Genocide is to be unsatisfying I feel. It's why the route is so horrendously boring outside of the two actual boss fights because every other boss gets killed in one turn. So I feel like it'd offer a different sort of punch to the nuts; depriving you of your ability to beat the game due to your decisions. You wanna see the credits? ​@@ethanton7074 it could have been implemented here, but differently. What if Chara comes to you after being destroyed, and says that they can beat him of you just give your soul. After they absolutely molly wop Asgore, they reveal their true intentions for this world, and you are faced with the consequences of your actions. You were so desperate to see what happened next that you gave your soul to a deamon.

I like the jazz feeling to it while also keeping the original tense impact from it. Im starting to think this is the best version of Asgore's theme. Good job!

I wish Toby Fox made hardcore mode in which at genocide ending asgore would really try to fight us not just to ask some tea instead.

In this route he doesn't break the "Mercy" button, but his name isn't yellow either

He breaks the item button and prevents you from healing, and it doesn't pull a fan game asgore fight thing where you have to piece it back together, it's just GONE, his attacks do alot of damage and acts don't decrease it, the pie makes his attack INCREASE bc the smell reminds him of what he's fighting for.

while I'm sure we all were disappointed at the end of genocide when he just didn't fight us, and seeing a fight against Asgore would have been sick as hell, its very in character for him to not fight the human. maybe if hard mode ever got fully made

Undertale is the only game in which I want to see us lose. I don't want us to win in the genocide route. I want nothing more than to get an ending where we lose because of our horrible actions.

He really became the Flower King.

This is so sorrowful its exactly how I imagine a asgore fight going, i imagine he truly steps up to the task and is the king he needs to be but can barely handle it, he's lost his entire kingdom, and he's truly the last defense against you.

In my head cannon, the genocide fight with asgore he would realistically not use the souls, I imagine he just wouldn't have the prep time too, but he manages to stand against you with pure determination and the will to destroy you for what you've done to his people.

Fighting asgore is what everyone would expect, but sans is more unexpected, that's why toby chose him for the bossfight

asgore would probably function like sans, unable to take too many hits (probably at least a few, since he was caught off guard when killed in genocide) so he'd probably dodge and block, and use his trident more effectively due to the fact HE IS HOLDING IT CORRECTLY
