Be happy these two are blessing dance with the real every single time. Otherwise, you might forget what hip hop was. Thanks ya'll!
THX MAN
I agree. At the time I left that comment, I was very new to watching the hip hop style of dance, and although Hurrikane was certainly flashier, his freestyle had far less groove than Boogie's (as you said). I agree with the judge's decision. Hip hop is not about flash. Dancing isn't about flash. It's about conveying music, feeling, and emotion through the art of dance.
Hurrikane déjà en lock il était super mais là... Bravo monsieur !!!!! Un de mes danseurs favoris !!! God bless Haïti !!!
Well said.
I'm very impressed with Hurrikane dance style... Surely because of his great musicality and he is also genius... Only a dancer with amazing skill can do this... :D
It is not about murdering a beat. It is dancing in it. Not on a beat. But in the music. That is why he won.
I agree Giovani from The Kulture Kids and The Alchemists...
new style = new york style :: "new style" was created by dancers outside of the United States. According to Moncell Durden, adjunct professor at Drexel University and director of the film History and Concept of Hip-Hop Dance, the 1992 dance documentary Wreckin' Shop was very influential to hip-hop dancers in France and Japan. These dancers wanted to move like the New York hip-hop dancers who were profiled in the documentary. They called "new style" which was short for "New York Style".[53]
I think what we did at 8:45 was hella ill though... still hit it with that rawness.. and look at the ground flow he was on after that mark!! imperfection is the real perfection in my personal opinion !
Do somebody know the tittle of the 1st song & the 2nd ???
In my humble opinion: 1st and 2nd rounds were both very close ties 3rd round goes to Hurrikane, but Junior Boogie took the extra round no doubt about it. The battle could have gone either way but I guess the judge made the decision based on the extra round Respect to both dancers!
tittles songs please?
I respect the judge and believe in Junior boogie.
Hey aren't you that guy that won HipHopKingz 2013 =O=O
BOOGIE 4 the W! Nuff Said....Bobby made the right choice!
holy shit
I love junior boogie , but hurrikane just KILL THE FUCKING BEAT every round , the extra round dont have to exist in this battle .
hahah bonus round was a newstyle song, I don't think it fit well
Jr Was much more controlled. and u could tell he had less knowledge of the music. Which made his freestyle more genuine.
Lookin' at this again, Hurrikane has no control. Hits beats but its a lil too wild yo. I think that may have given him the lost. His musicality was good tho he just was too wild when he was doing a blow up or hitting beats. Where as Jr Was mad controlled and maintained everything and the fundamentals of hip hop dance.
Your comment shows a lot of freaking growth since 5 months ago. I am totally digging that. So... u gonna delete that comment lmao!
sorry. to be more accurate, 8:45..
Wow, people are complaining that there were 3 rounds! Clearly you all have no love for dance and hip hop!
Hurrikane clearly won this...His musicality was just unreal...
Juniorboogie def won
Hurrikane clearly has a larger library of music. Jr Boogie only seem to have known one song. With that being said I think Jr Boogie had greater musicality. I won't say Hurrikane lost but the argument on music ain't the right argument. Hurrikane delivered dynamics and blow ups. Hence why I'd give him the round. Jr Boogie grooves much better and too me the form of hip hop is the grooving. Tie Breaker tho Hurrikane took it. Jr Boog is still the best out.
Alain won that man! Hurrikane all day!
No!!!! clearly Hurrikane should win this. just take the last round for example, Jr. Boogie screwed up with the beat at 8:40. Hurriikane kill every song with beat, style and show effect!
new style song?? wtf is new style lol Its hip hop. "New Style" ain't a style its animation mixed with hip hop grooves and vice versa. No doubt Les Twins do some kool stuff but what they do ain't n e thing new to label a style.
New York Hip Hop Dancers Don't Move like that my man. Only ppl in Japan and France do. Wreckin' style they dance very much different than what Japan and France wanted to be. Mattr of fact...Jr Boogie dances like the o.G.'s in Wreckin' Shop. "New Style" is using animations mixed with hip hop grooves no matter how u wanna sugar coat the origins. Thats what they r doing. Nothing special.
