Anyone who feels down and fed up, especially with the way things are in the world at the moment. My advice is to watch a good vintage comedy like this one, and i can pretty much guarantee you will feel better. A great way to escape from it all.

I love this show I've been looking at it for over30 years

Cardew Robinson a fabulous comic. This was his last role and what gem it is. He must have been about 80 or more. One of my favourite episodes

started watching these older shows and love them

This what we do in the heavens above.

I loved her in Meet the Wife. I wish they had made more episodes of that show.

It was never the same without Compo.When I got the d.v.ds I stopped when Compo died. Compo made the show.

Love this show every time.

I loved this episode. My favourite trio were Compo, Clegg and Foggy. Other favourite characters were Nora, Wally, Ivy Edie, Wesley, Eli, Smiler and Alvin

Those in charge at the BBC didn't have to like the show themselves, but they should have shown respect for the audience. If it pleases and is successful, then it can't be wrong. The cancellation of the series was wrong.

Nora Batty is fascinating. Her hats are amazing, she must have a room full of them. It as a retired hairdresser I am a bit puzzled. She has her hair in curlers, but when she’s in a hat her hair is smoothed flat. Fun characters all of them.

I screamed with laughter when Smiler got drunk on Auntie Wainwright's homemade wine. Staggering around the worse for wear, he called her Bora Natty! I was doubled up with laughter.

reason was Brian Wilde got replaced very quickly because of illness and Frank Thornton was meant to last 6 eps. series 19 does still have Foggy plotlines

I taped the original of this when it first aired. I notice on this and the DVD, the last lines between Seymour and Clegg are slightly different, and the dub is more obvious!

i remember 11 episodes on vhs luxury now only about 6/7 on dvd never put 2 parters together.

I met the actor who played Melvin, a really charming man who hated been over weight and spent u\years trying thinner only to loose his role.

I'd love to find the very last episode but I can't find it anywhere. The very last words belong to Clegg of "Did I lock the door?"

This was such a wonderful series!!! Somebody, please, PLEASE make a new series with new actors (since most of the original seem to be deceased) with scripts that are at least of the same quality if not better!!! PLEASE!!!

The best of British comedy. just a too close up upload. Out of sync.

Barry's new suit looks just as ill-fitting as his old one. 7:50 Pearl's drab, sensible dress looks like the Wicked Witch of the West's outfit; just dye it black. 22:57 another character-appropriate costume: Marina's outfit is bright, short and tarty lol.

I guess its me but that Gough person is just a little too creepy. I wish the episodes with Foggy were in watchable condition, hes my favorite but the quality is do bad they aren't watchable.

First of the summer was good as well as, younger foggy and clegg. ,

Some of theese lines are cracking

The person doing the sub-titles should listen to the dialogue, some of the words are stupid and don't fit the story

I like the earlier series but the later ones after compo died are rubbish
