Failure of Vision Pro is simply the price. I’d love to have one, but I’m not paying anywhere near that

Same here mate , but even the basic price is not the end of it if you need lenses for dodgey eyes , if it is $3500 in the US , I'm guessing in other countries where everything costs more, you would probably be looking at not much change out of 5k . That is a pretty big investment that probably in years to come will be superceded and obsolete. Basically it is a device for people with a good wad of disposable cash.

I very much agree. However, i see where Apple is coming from on the cost based on the durability, quality and first of its kind of special computing vs Quest is just for games. However, it is annoying that it is mentioned that VisionPro is a potential flop but yet the cost for a folding phone is $2000 and aren’t exactly selling well either.

Thats what you tubers do, create repetitive content for views. Im confused as to why you would take the time to not only watch the video but also comment on it if you seem to not like the algorithm or repetitive content the you tube content creator covers?

Apple missed the mark thinking a half baked 3,500$+ product would be the next big thing. Now hearing them give iOS options like being able to move apps anywhere on the screen seems laughable. I’m a Apple guy but they should have doubled down on making Siri better (AI integration) a LOOOOOOOONG time ago. Now it just seems like they are doing it because Vision Pro is a bust and they need something new to show us.

Agreed! 1-Vision was way overpriced (I got the PS5 VR. That is amazing for 1/3 the cost) The option of the iPad Pro coming with AI whatever, the fact that they are SO vague is because they are so behind they think they are first! After SIRI being so lame, Im over thinking APPLE is gonna be front and center for anything anymore. They are just another number. So they better step it up or step out.

It’s interesting, when the flurry started in march it would be released, I was super interested in upgrading from my iPad Air. They delayed until may and now I’m not as interested in the upgrade. I got tired of next week, next week, etc. Not sure if I’ll move to an iPad Pro or just keep what I have now. . Also am not thrilled you likely have to buy a new pencil as well.

I intendo to get a new iPAD Pro. The 2019 11" has been the best machine I have ever had of any sort, but doubtless it will become obsolete, losing trade-in value. Hope to be able to keep the keyboard that I have for the 19". Reeling from the expenditure, I would also hope to be able to get more miles (here in Italy, we would say kilometres) out of my 2nd generation pencil.

I think the Apple Vision Pro and the next iteration will take time to find the product/ market fit and killer application. It's a significantly more complex ( and expensive ) product.

Yes much better cameras. Pictures you take will stay with you the rest of your life so better to have the highest quality pictures possible.

Vision pro was always an enthusiast tech demo… lots of businesses are developing apps for it. Take for instance a scientific garden where notes are required, the vision can scan the barcode and allow all the notes to be taken very fast. This just isn’t a consumer product yet.

Its too big and bulky... Until they can create a system with computing happening on the network and create a pair of glasses that can do what Vision Pro does, it's not going to work for the masses of people.

I need a new tablet for work, i dont like apple products but im waiting for this new ipads, maybe they are perfect for what i need, if the price is not ridiculous i might get one, if not im getting a galaxy tab s9

It’s the price I mean think about it if Apple wanted to make money of this they should’ve released the Apple At Glasses first cause it would be cheaper, lighter and a must have like the AirPods and Apple Watch. With Vision Pro being expensive not a lot of people were gonna buy them even I predict that it was gonna flop. And I heard that they wanted Vision Pro to be a test subject to see if people were gonna be interested in ar/vr. That’s why the Apple ar glasses wouldn’t been a great test subject

I’ve seen the nvidia demonstration of the Vision Pro. As a professional used product it makes sense. It’s priced right and clearly superior to it’s competitors. As a consumer product it’s just too expensive. No one’s consumer product makes sense. The technology isn’t advanced enough at the 1,000 dollar price point. It also needs more than movies & games to sell it. Just remember the iPhone was thought a failure out of the gate and Apple’s stock was at a low in December following it’s June release.

Thanks for te interest. Actually the new Phone 16 doesn't interest me, it's the new PAD pro I'm interested in. It is in my interest to trade it in, here, in Rome. Too complicated internationally.

Vision Pro is expensive and very large for a device that is potentially mobile. A more portable and lighter version with a leaner price tag may improve sales. Apple is currently updating many of their devices too soon on an annual basis which harms sales. A staggered 24 month update schedule would help with creating anticipation and give people time to need a new device.

I am so glad Vision Pro exists. WWDC will determine it they have to have serious sit downs with the devs on how to create in the 3D space. It's not going to be a iPhone product, maybe not Apple Watch but this thing is absolutely incredible and a Dev work in progress.

I bought Vision Pro however I feel it’s not worth the $3800 and &499 Apple care I wanted to return it however didn’t make it back with in 14 days. I feel it is missing to many features. Perfect example no app can access its cameras all apps only see the persona virtual camera.

To be fair on the Vision Pro, it hasn’t been launched yet outside of America, so you can’t buy it if it’s not for sale.

Apple seems to be failing with the iPhone 16 pro models...

A curious question: Are there people over eighty years of age who are very elderly people who own and will use modern smart phones???

Few things here. That I would like to see I’d like to see a new iPhone mini. And I would like to see the make up foldable iPhone. So that you can at least carry it around in your pocket. I’m sad sad that they discontinued the iPhone 13 mini. And a foldable bigger iPhone would be a plus.

AVP isn't going away, they'll keep iterating on this and bring the price down and identify the use-cases

As far as Vision Pro goes it’s a no brainer that the price point is too high and it’s not crucial to have in a world of people swimming in inflation. I think it’s a foolish idea to make a lesser version of it when they should just make one vision pro period. I think if the phones was more reasonably priced then people just might be more tempted to pay $4,000 The colors to the phones can be nice but I put a case on my phones so it’s not a huge deal, but considering it’s a sensitive and pricey device a case is a must have.

That’s great and all but at the end of the day the iPad will always be just a bigger version of our iPhones, so having the price of a computer where we can absolutely do it all, is kind of ridiculous

Apple Vision will NEVER compete with the Oculus Headsets unless they release proper controllers imo. Yes, the hand-tracking is amazing but it just doesn’t work for gaming.

Maybe a proper Pro-Creative App for the Stick!? Draw, Design (2D,3D,4D!:) shape-reshape thing! No Shame Apple! Come on, Everyone Can Create!

Tempting (especially the ipad pro 11) (owner of an iphone SE, ipad pro 12.9 late 2017) (good enough, for now), but I'm going to pass, watch and see... Why? Well, at a minimum, I'm going to wait for next iOS version (later this year); and if it's M3 instead of M4 (so, I guess, it's going to be like iPad (pro) vs iPad 2 (pro), it's going to be better to wait for the upgraded version, with a good iOS version. In fact, why bother buying a new ipad pro in May, and wait for iOS 18, 6 monts later ? Unless you "need" that new ipad pro, I'd advise to wait and let the early adopters do their things 😉

Re the failure of the headset, the reasons are all of the above.

The thing with all new tech is it’s really expensive. They need more users so they can get feedback and how to improve along the way. People are looking at the Vision Pro the wrong way. Remember this is the first version and it’s like ski goggles basically. Maybe by the 4th or 5th version they going to be the size and look of regular glasses and everyone will be using them instead of phones. The problem again is the $$$$ to get it into the hands of people. When people look at it and think it’s way too expensive, it’s missing the mark of who they actually want to target. At the moment it’s just the really rich or the influencers, Apple basically putting a gate between who they want to buy it and who should be buying it. The people who get it at the moment will be more of a gimmick to them. There’s gonna be some tech guys and they will go through everything but for the guy who can afford it, they aren’t really going to explore all the real options with it and so you’re Making something that some guy might use 10% of the potential of the product whereas if Apple Made the first vison pro more accessible in terms of cost they would actually maybe gain more Users in the long run

Apple missed the mark with the virtual reality headset. I have the Meta headset and I love it and it was only around $300. Apple needs to start making major changes in their products and not just update the camera on their phones. I wish they would make their laptops touchscreen and give more color options on all of their products. Just beginning to feel that Apple products are becoming stale.

Not to excited I’ll just wait for the IPhone 17 Pro Max and hang on to the 13 Pro Max…

The problem is Apple didn’t put the current economy into the situation for its Apple pro device. I get it. They wanted to sell a premium product to its diehard fans however the product rollout and the features just don’t scream luxury or give that price point to justify it. It’s still a little too early to consider this a failure however with the right campaign and social media push it could come back!
