In this episode we will show you the entire route to Rameswaram via Madurai, best and popular places to eat and take breaks on the way and the breathtaking view of NH44 (Kashmir to Kanyakumari Highway) longest in India and Nilgiri Mountains.🙂
Also, in this episode there is lot of fun and adventure moments and we touched the speed of 121 km/hr with our Thar (Nandi) on NH44.

Pune to Rameswaram Route:
- To reach Rameswaram via road from Pune or Mumbai, the best way is to reach Hosur or Bengaluru on your first day drive, stay there for the night and from Hosur, you can directly take NH44 till Madurai and from Madurai you can continue to Rameswaram via Dindigul-Vellodu-Madurai Road.
- Later this road will connect you to NH87 which goes straight to Rameswaram.
This is the best and fastest route for Rameswaram and roads are in very good condition throughout.
- We took this route of 586 kms and we reached Rameswaram in 12 hours including our 4 breaks on the way. Generally, this route is a 10hrs drive to Rameswaram as per gmaps.
- There is also an alternate route to Rameswaram which goes via Tiruchirappalli and is of 722 kms which will take around 13 hrs drive time. It is via a single lane state highway and comparatively slower and longer.
