Last Fall paddle in Northstar ADK Pack Canoe
Спорт
Northstar Canoes has really mastered the fast to the water Canoe in the ADK. I remember once speaking to designer David Yost who told me it was his favorite Canoe. That was a conversation I had 20 years ago and I didn’t understand it at the time, but I think now I do! Enjoy!

You never fail to make me want to get out and paddle that stretch of water with you. Thx!
Outstanding! ADK on moving with single blade. Even better with pedestal seat paddling on your knees. Ripping in and out of eddys is a hoot.
Great video Ethan and a great looking Northstar canoe. I agree with @greeneggsandham, I would like to get back on that stretch of the river with you.
Great video, Ethan. In an earlier conversation, I mentioned a bit of chaffing with the Solquist Rocker. If I may ask, is that why your bailing sponge was parked where it was? And in other videos, you wear an Astral Sturgeon (my original choice). Do you have a preference?

The sponge was there bc I forgot to take it out after the carry to the water! I always wear at minimum one of my sun shirts so I think that keeps any chaffing down so I don’t notice it with the Rocker. I also use a Sturgeon and do really like it for general comfort but it’s not as secure or protective and the rocker pockets work a bit better for my gear. I will wear the Sturgeon when comfort and less “lock down” is needed. Goes on way easier too. the Rocker is more secure and for some coastal sea kayaking I recently did I wore the Stohlquist Descent. I have a few boxes of PFD‘s, and have rockers and descents on hand, still brand new, if you have any interest. Happy to share more thoughts on them over a call.
Why the sponge underneath the cool looking new Stohlquist Rocker??

Because I’m an airhead and put it there to carry the boat to the water and never took it out! But I do love having a sponge with me to clean muddy footprints out when the river is down like this. Observation award goes to you!
