Yes (if I could think of a shorter word than yes, I'd use it...), for any ARPG fan this game a no-brainer. It's half the cost of D4, no pay to win, and most importantly it's been created by ARPG die-hards. Nuff said!

Nope. Tried it again twice now since it was first released. I've got 2k hours into POE, so everything will gets compared to that. LE isn't even remotely close. Why any POE player would bother investing their time into LE over the POE is beyond me. If I had never played POE and only had a potato PC, LE might be worth it. It's better than D4 but overall it's pretty mid.

Been playing LE for the last 9 months or so, and one of the things that I noticed right off the bat that Aaron didn't mention, is how the levelling process felt. As you levelled up your character right from the starting point, you could feal measurable improvement to your character. It was a nice feeling to have, and keep the momentum going. Another key item that Aaron touched on is not wanting players to feel the need to use external sites for core pieces of the game. In this video he didn't mention the built in user manual, which is excellent, in depth, and easily searchable. Having to use 3rd party sites for trading, or just learning about mechanics of games drives me up the wall. Glad to hear that after spending the last nine months playing, that 1.0 will have that fresh coat of paint regarding graphics, UI, etc. Not that it was something that was holding the game back, but it is a nice bonus with 1.0 coming soon.

100% correct on the leveling feel of this game. You can feel the power start spiking early. Unlike some games where you have to muddle through multiple acts of the campaign, or get to level 38 to start getting a complete build started. LE let’s you hit the ground running. Virtually every attack skill in the game feels good and is viable. The power fantasy starts fast and only gets better.

@@thecasualtryhard4286 For a non pet/minion build, I would suggest playing a Sentinel Void Knight or a Sentinel Paladin. Both are very straightforward. For Void knight skills, I would choose between Void Cleave, Warpath or Devouring Orb. For Paladin, Rive or Warpath are both good. I would also suggest playing a Druid Werebear. It is tanky and has plenty of defenses. The new Acolyte Warlock class is going to be really great as well as the Mage Runemaster class. They are newer additions to the game and there is a lot more synergy in their talent trees and skill trees. The Runemaster is fun to play and there are dozens of ways to build it. In Last Epoch, Totems are also considered as pets, which is different than other games in the genre. There are a couple of totem builds that are terrific in the Primalist Shaman and Druid classes. They are Storm Totems and Thorn Totems. You will have to scale their damage with minion stats, but they are stationary so don't follow you around like pets. The Necro Flame Wraith build also plays like a totem build. I would look at some suggestions from Boardman21 on KZread. I think he has a video on some top new player builds to start with.

100% worth your time. It’s complex, but well thought out, well organized, and most importantly fun. You can have fun if you just want to play, or fun if you want to go down the rabbit hole of detail.

Have only been playing this game for a couple of weeks as I'm new to the ARPG scene but have really enjoyed this. Largely also because of your content for this game also. You're my go to for anything regarding this game now so its much appreciated and wish you all the best moving forward supporting this game.

Great game, even sweeter that its a smaller studio. I'm tired of getting abused by the big studios - eff 'em.

LE will mop the floor with all the ARPG’s. I’ve been playing this on and off for the last 4 years and I supported this game since announcement. With thousands of hours in D2-4, POE and Grimm Dawn I can truly say this game is so well made I’m speechless. The game is so simple yet so complex you can easily spend thousands of hours and never get bored. What an achievement from EHG.

So you feel its worth the buy? I started with PoE a month ago and kinda hooked but not sure about LE yet.

I never played a AROG game before D4, I was a destiny, division, FF14, cyberpunk those type of games gamer but after playing D4 I found your channel and saw LE videos so I checked out the game, I had such a great time with it and can’t wait for 1.0 and eleventh hour should be ecstatic knowing they have such a great ambassador for the game in you. Well done

As someone who just heard about this game, this was a perfect overview for it. Thanks! The only possible thing missing from the video was maybe a section detailing some of the downsides or wished changes the game still needs. No game can be perfect so I'm curious what the people who don't think it's that great think about the game.

I've been on and off of this game since release, and something that always stuck out to me that keeps me coming back to this game is this: You are not punished for experimenting. Got a weird build idea you wanna try? Go for it! If it works out, AWESOME! If it doesn't? You aren't stuck in that build until you can get the resources to respec into something that does work with the ease of access. While the only thing you can't change is your mastery, that's a very minor sacrifice in exchange for having such experimental versatility.

Cannot wait for 1.0. Already love the game as it is, but watching this video made me more hyped! On vacation that week! Will be playing quite a bit. Thanks for the info! 😊

@ActionRPG You forgot to mention TARGET FARMING, the ability to do content that flat out drops items slots you are looking for. Need a unique chest for your build do maps in this endgame area, need a shield do maps in that endgame area.

I was on the fence on LE because of the art design. The thing I had to tell myself is this isn't bli$$ard. Its its own style and that makes it awesome. I love the look in game and I dont think videos do it justice. You have to log in and play to appreciate fully imo. Game is easily worth $70, probably more. Watch a video with a dev from this game and they ooze passion. Loving LE!!

Addictingly good, bought it two days ago. Love game that make me think about the game when i am not playing it.

Not to mention the super cool Weaver's Will items! Those are by far my favorite items in the game, and I wish they would att more of them! Maybe a rare version of a Weaver's Will shard that you can craft into your set items that give you a random 1-28 stacks of Weaver's Will on that item to further personalize your gear while simultaneously make set items potentially more useful/special compared to Legendaries.

Great video! You sold me. I’m buying the ultimate edition!

My prediction... 1 year from now LE and POE 2 are the industry arpg leaders.

Coming from Diablo 4 and never having played POE, I've been really impressed with Last Epoch. I think it's undeniably a better ARPG than D4. I feel like it's a steal at $30 and is one of the only games where i actually want to buy some micro transactions just to support the game/team because if blizzard has shown us anything, it's that we need more smaller competent developers like eleventh hour games out there.

D4 is the casualised experience, Last Epoch or Grim Dawn are somewhere in between. PoE is the pinnacle but consumes your life and knowledge like nothing else. When you are short on time I wouldn't recommend PoE

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they released a cosmetic battlepass...just to help support the team

Hail to the king! I only hope that they will allow us to make campaign harder (sort of a veteran mode in Grim Dawn) and allow us to select a gender for our characters someday. Otherwise it is the top ARPG imo.

Hi Guys. I played this game for more then 2k hours. And it is really the best! I grow up with D2 then we where bringing all our pc to one house just play lan game and this game remains this. How ever I will be true. As soon as steamdeck came I got it on steam deck and it is a BLAST! It's not the best running on deck at the moment but will be better with time. And LE believe me has more build then POE. Becouse POE it's all about the 💎 and LE is all about your's imagination. And D4 its like meee... compered to LE. If you played titan quest, grim dawn, you will love this game!❤

Titan quest was great. They had the best set bonuses in any arpg.

Jesus christ what a refreshing take on the ARPG genre. D4 has completely soiled it, and LE is amazing in comparison.

Sadly the skill talents looks deep and cool, but really didnt need a tree for it. It's mostly 4 options changing stuff, with % increases.

When searching, I would love to see a number count on how many items per page it found on your search term, Helms/Shields(2) or Legandary(1) etc

Current characters and gear and everything will be in the “legacy” section at launch. The only difference is that they can’t compete on leaderboards. They still are 100% playable. If you want to compete on leaderboards, make a new character, otherwise just continue doing what you have been doing

Tried playing this morning for the first time in a while (I know I should have waited for 1.0), but the servers (playing online for the first time) were glitching out. Not sure why, but I hope whatever it was is fixed before launch so we don't have a Wolcen 2.0

Tbh i would love if the pets did pick up stuff; one picks up gold the other crafting mats. Maybe le can give 2 pets for free or through the campaign. Picking up mats mostly gets me out of the flow and going around picking up money is not fun.

You might want to redo the video and start with the most important thing first. I wouldn't start with the stash tab, because it is not going to bring people to the game. I would start with game play/end game.

800 hours in, lots of fun. I just restarted after 3 months away so I can get in practice for 1.0. Love the crafting mechanism and the use of in-game gold to buy storage tabs. Nice default loot filter too. Any thoughts on D4 seemingly trying to reschedule their next event to coincide with the LE launch?

i dont get when people say that, people call me bias about LE.... how can we be bias we dont get money from the game... its not bias when you prefer the game its just....... liking a better game lol i was really hoping "on release" they would have the completed 12 act story fully voice acted. all the "later stuff" should be done by 1.0 i feel. story is not complete so neither is the game. i been on for years happy to give them as much time they need..... but dont let off the fireworks and say its ready for release when it is not complete coz many will get pissed about that

my thoughts after playing it 40 hours are: DONT WASTE YOUR 35 $ ITS SO BORRING THERE IS NOTHING TO DO TRUST ME.

Grim Dawn is beating all the ones you mentioned right now as far as reviews go, don't forget about that gem

You can't take game reviews overly serious. Many negative reviews are for things that don't actually matter such as; emotional responses, review bombing, wrong information, or simply person/player issues. That being said Grim Dawn is an amazing game that I have well over 2k hours in. But honestly, it's nowhere near as good as PoE or LE. It is way better than D3/D4 though.

why u dont show the start menu / is there no online mode / lobby where i can see open games or create one?

I will never understand why people have fun doing the same thing over and over just to try and getting an item with SLIGHTLY better stats that actually will not make much difference. I understand wanting to try the different classes and maybe even just trying different builds but lets face it you can crack an egg in thousands of ways but why bother going to the moon and throwing it at Earth when you can just crack it on the side of a pan?

The loot filters are not always 3rd party. POE has an excellent system. As long as you play the game on Steam and you link the Steam account to the POE homepage, you can simply click on "follow" on any filter you like, and you get the Fitler in the game. It does not get any easier than that. 💪🏼 Setting up the filter manually in this game seems like too much work, so that's a negative for me.

And in this game, the loot filter is something you can easily setup yourself without having to rely on someone/something else doing it for you, ON TOP of being able to use someone elses filters anyway if you are that lazy.

Yes, but you’ll have leveling gear from your main that will make it faster. Plus with the skips you’ll have from keys it doesn’t take long for other characters. That has been my experience from playing for a little over a month, now having 3 characters.

I wish the supporter packs were PoE price model :(

Every time I hear the name I cringed. This isn't a British company as far as I'm aware. Delaware based? Never pronounced epoch that way and I've done rpg design all my life and used the word much. There was a youtube short that didn't allow comments and I wanted to grab and shake the guy when he acted like the game wasn't similar to another. If I squint my eyes I'd have bet money I was seeing Diablo 4 with the damage numbers popping up exactly the same and the red outlines on the monsters exactly the same and pretty much all of the content and ideas to the combat. I'd say this was an attempt to make a Diablo game but actually listen to the complaints of the D4 players. As I listen I have to bow out because I can't seriously listen to the pronunciation of the title again. To me it's wrong. I live in America and in America that pronunciation is not correct.

I got this one also but POE is still the better game.

What is the diference if comestics have stats or dont have them? This game is simply single player with coop, you dont have ANY pvp in it so why bother with "P2W"? There is nothing to WIN if you cant compete.

Awesome game but those servers in EU are really bad!!.,,forum is full of ppl having problems with lags and no answer from devs :/

All things considered, they have a pretty shitty and predatory / greedy shop AND are releasing a game as "1.0" when it's missing 25% of it's acts / content. They have a lot to be praised, but you're really simping for the game in broad daylight.

game is weak as fuck tbh, gearing is boring, items arent complex enough for me. crafting is pretty boring too, the skill animations are lack luster. The end game is dreadful. Monster denstiy is terrible, it plays like a game 10 years ago. Character building is Ok except you can never change your mastery, Thats a terrible oversight. Echos feel terribly boring to farm, the map density is low, gaps between groups of mobs makes the game feel horrible. The power early on makes everything trivial.... overall id give this game a 4/10. Ive not gotten to the "end game" and i probably wont becuase its just more of the same rubbish echo's. Nothing feels impactful, ive been invincible and one shotting everything snce level 30/40. im currently level 75 and i dont think ill progress any more. The additions in 1.0 arent enough for me to feel anything new. This isnt a game that contends with POE, It barely compares with Diablo 3 to be honest. Set items feel like any other item, legendary crafting is done in dungeons and the dungeons are just an echo basically. they have tiers as he explained in the video...but who cares really. its the same thing everytime. I know many games have the same repeatable mechanics but in my opinion, almost any arpg does it better than LE. feels, looks and plays like an indie game.

@@MultiKnova I only won't play games with microtransactions. Games used to more complete back in the days. Nowadays alot of developers are adding lots of stuff to an already brought out game. I am fine with DLCs, but not when there is a currency in-game that you can buy with real money. Milking lots of extra money from players via new skins and such. If there are microtransactions in a game like that, the game should be free..

too bad your so extremly based that your not talking about the bad things in the game, guess your payed for your advertising but a bit more honesty would be good sorry to say

Doesnt support North Africa, not worth it atm and developers dont care about it.
