Every year I’m excited to grow strawberries. And every year I epically fail in that attempt. This is because I am so unfocused that I am in capable of weeding, a strawberry bed. Eventually, it just gets taken over by grass and weeds and the strawberries get pushed out. So hopefully by doing raised beds I can reduce the competition from the weeds and the grass and focus my  attention on keeping them watered, composted and covered over the winter. Of course I could buy enough strawberries to last the entire year for the amount of money that was spent on the materials to make the raised beds but oh well. I’m still very excited!
