Holy moly... water that beautiful is usually only found in oceans, but this lake is gorgeous! Definitely need to do a glamp trip in Lake Tahoe in some point in my life!

Boy, this brings back sweet memories of my childhood and early adulthood. Lake Tahoe was my home away from home, and I used to dream about retiring there one day.

I'm so glad you both enjoyed Tahoe!! I lived there for 10 years! Next time you guys go out there, I highly suggest checking out Fallen Leaf lake and D.L. Bliss. The water is colder, but stunning. Do the hike at D.L. Bliss too!! Just past Fallen Leaf there is a gorgeous waterfall, and no you don't have to hike to it. It is called Glenn Alpine Falls. Great views of Mt. Tallac from Fallen Leaf and Glen Alpine. As for food, my favorite burger place is Snowflake. Mexican food: La Promesa. Sushi: Samurai or Naked Fish. You guys did well with breakfast places, but I would suggest adding The Keys Cafe into your next trip as well (they have amazing breakfast burritos and smoothies/coffees). Indian food: Curry & Grill. Mediterranean: Artemis Mediterranean Grill. Pizza and wings: Best Pies Pizzeria (in Truckee). Much love to you both!

I lived in South Lake Tahoe when I was 18, my first time out on my own. Lived on California side, worked on the Nevada side. I was always so amazed by how far you could go out in the lake and still be knee or thigh deep....super cool!

I raised my 2 sons 1 & half hours from Lake Tahoe so they grew up skiing there in the winter and camping there in the summers...great memories...wish I was back in the 90's and early 2000's with my sweet sons...

I was born in Truckee. Spent a lot of time on the lake and now teaching my children and grandchildren everything my father taught me about the area. My dad always called it “Gods Country”.

This coming Saturday my wife and I a are taking a four nights five days trip to Lake Tahoe our of the San Fernando Valley and will be taking the 395 as well. You need to come to Michigan! Four out of five Great Lakes border our state. If you swim in Lake Superior (the biggest and deepest and coldest of the Great Lakes) I think you get instant Lake Person status. 👍👍👍

As I sit in this 115 degree weather, I’m pretty sure I’d sell my soul to be in that cold Tahoe water. The “becoming a lake person” convo is cracking me up. I wish we had smelavision. Fresh air and Aspens. Tacocat, kayak. How did your arms feel the next day?

Did lake tahoe back in july. Gondola was like $60/person. We did it just to say we did it but all you do is go up and back. No purpose in the summer unless you want to walk around heavenly. I definitely miss the weather though!
