🇱🇰 Last day in Colombo. Traveling in Sri Lanka during monsoon season be like🤣

Hi folks, NatNomad here. An ex-Buddhist monk from Laos with a big dream of seeing the world. Throughout my time for over 10 years being a monk I kept asking myself this one question "What life is like out there beyond the monastery?" And because of this question alone made me take a big step in 2014 when I finally say goodbye to my wonderful monastic life.
And now I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. Though I am not quite sure if I can say that I'm living my dream but you know what I'm loving my new adventure.
Please make sure to stick with me so we can explore new exotic places together.
Let the adventures begin!
Thanks so much for your support.

8:40 Yes brother, In Sri Lanka 11-15% of the total population are Tamils and 75% of the population are the native Sinhalese who speak Sinhala language. Both Tamils and the Moors speak in Tamil language. The reason is both of them (most Moors) came from India as traders, slaves, invaders, and by marriages and most Tamils were brought here by the British as slaves to get their works done because the Sinhala people refused to work for outsiders. After the independent few left the country and most of them stayed here since their living conditions were far better than their native countries. Moors and Tamils are awesome people to have in a country. We are glad to have them because they are very peaceful. ❤ 🎉 🇱🇰 ❤ 🇱🇦 And finally you are very welcome brother! Many years ago I learned about your country at school and have watched wonderful documentaries. It's a beautiful country and hope to visit someday... 🙏

Hi Nat, I really enjoyed the video as always. I enjoyed seeing the temples and other sites. It's good to get a complete view of somewhere including the not so good sides. The taxi thing unfortunately gives a bad impression of Sri Lanka. Personally I find that kind of thing very rude and annoying and don't know if I could have stayed as polite as you did. As you said they need to work and as a foreigner there I guess they assume you have money. Luckily you found the app after. Looking forward to the next video

more than half of sri lankan population can speak english properly, 77%-82% sri lankans can manage a conversation in english even tho it has some grammar errors, so its easy to travel there, even older people know english , but young generations can speak it very well as english is a compulsory language in schools and its the only language that use in many courses in all universities
