Many Many years ago met Him, Chitra ji and their son in Calcutta at a fund raiser concert for their son's School. Later saw several live performances including the last time In St. Louis, USA. A much older person who had faced terrible personal tragedies. But that smile was still the same. From what I have read and talked with people who knew him, he was not only a great artist but a tremendously good friend, benefactor. Always approachable and ready to help despite the exalted position he held in society. A truly great soul who was send to us just to touch ours. Thank you you make my life fuller every day with your voice.

For me Gazal and Jagjit Singh are synonyms. I can never think of Gazal without relating it to this great legend. He lives in the hearts of every Gazal loving person. Miss you Sir.

A legend a maestro and a saga of melody leaves us physically but shall remain alive in our emotions forever. Love from Pakistan.

Saef Alee Qureshi Wo hamaara manchala mausam tha....launde they, jab sunte the the...inko hi hi nahi, Mehdi Hassan Saahab ko, Ghulam Ali ko...Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan GIANT ko.....baakin kinhi ko to nahi, inka 3 performances dekha tha. Aur ek Ghulam Ali Sir ka,....Miss him IMMENSELY!!! Hassan Saahab ko bhi saryopari rakhta hoon!!!

Oh My God😭😭20th September... Just before 3 days 23th September when he was fall in brain hamrage.... 😭😭😭 What an coincidence he is singing for his own soul before some days of his death and see what he said Kahan tum chaly gaye😭😭😭😭😭😭

Kahan tum Chalay.. I really love you and felt your lost the most i think..Itni bhee kia Jaldi thee Chalay Janay ki... I still feel that you are around ,everywhere.We can't see your face now..can we? Its very hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember...thats why we can never forget you I always listen your ghazals that make me cry over you ...sometimes i smile and whisper to me that how much crazy am for you Jab tak is jisem may Jan Baqi hay teri sansay ham may chalengeee Jaghjeet.. Big loss for Indians as well as for Pakistanis,rather for those who understand urdu and the depth in his ghazals.. Am Pakistani ,koi mjh say puchy how much i love him.. Rest in eternal peace...

I grew up listening to your’s and Chitra Singh’s ghazals and till today listen to these ghazals , they have often acted like balm in painful and tragic moments in my life . Rest in peace sir and I am sure you are with your son now.Many of us still have to wait to join our loved ones up there.😭😭

Not after 20 days sir. He got brain attack on 27th september after 6 days only. He was in comma for 13 days. Then on 10th October he left whole world making us alone without him. But then also he and his song will always remain within us.

मै बहोत भाग्यशाली रहा हू.जगजीतजीको आमने सामने सूननेका मौका मिला नागपूरमे.दो बार वे चित्राजीके साथ गाये औरदो प्रोग्रॅममे स्वयं अकेले गाये.मै ऊनका बडा फॅन रहा हू.उनकेबिना यह ग़ज़ल जगत आजभी अधूरा है.यहा प्रकृतीके बिना पत्तातक नही हिलता. हम बेबस है के हमने ऊन्हे खो दिया .

20the Septeber 2011 का आय पी एस स्कूल मे आयोजित जगजीत सिंग साहाबका ये लाईव्ह शो बहोत कुछ कहता है. जगजीत सिंग साहाब का देहांत 10 th October 2011 को हुवा. शायद इस महान गायक को अपनी मृत्यू का पूर्व पता चल गया होगा, गझल की दुनियाका महान सम्राट 10 th October 2011 को इस दुनियासे अलविदा हो गया. ये जादूई आवाज , इस धरतीसे हमेशा के लिये लुप्त हो गयी. जगजीत सिंग साहाब जैसा गायक ना पहले कभी हुवा था, ना भविष्य मे कोई होगा. जगजीत सिंग साहाबने गायी ये लाईने " अब यादो के साये, इस दिलमे चुभते है, ना दर्द ठहरता है , ना आंसू रुकते है..
