Brillant match Dave and some stunning fish. Great video Dave and commentary and well done picking some more beer tokens up. I fish the canal myself last time was before the pandemic u always go from mid October through to march the canal always has the flow am supprised you didn't pick any dace theres quite a few in theres 2 areas Swanley lane and Baddiley lane you some time pick the odd chub they go to 2lbs but the roach fishing can be great at times and some are over a pound anyway see u on the next match well done Dave and tight lines🎣👍

Nice one Dave, difficult to beat that peg a couple of swims to your right but you fished a great match for second overall, some quality roach and two cracking perch. Unlucky not to qualify but there's always next time. Colin Hynard.

Another good vid Dave,quality roach,I live in Chirk did you fish by Poachers pocket pub,lived here for 8 years you never see any body on the cut,haven't fished myself for 9 years ,physical problems ,enjoy following a couple of anglers on youtube ,yourself and Keith Arthur mainly, don't miss the fishing ,but the banter that goes with it 👍

You ought to of seen the match winning net of fish, I've never seen so many big roach!

All your canal venues fish well so its keeping it alive , pike dont seem to spoil things. I can remember when that canal produced 2lb plus roach , so your quality fish have a history going for them . Dace also were prolific, you cope with the boats well and your results are an education .

Good day at the office. young man, pity you and your mate didn't qualify for the final; I was hoping to see you on the 15th I'm going to Appley Bridge to have a look. By the way, is 4mph different in Wales, some of those boats seemed to be going to fast.

Hello Dave great performance, where abouts on the canal was you? As i live quite near to the Llangollen canal id like to have a go down the track for those big roach they look awesome. I think ive found the stretch was it Fenns Bank? What was the bridge number to your right Dave? cheers . If its Fenns bank its near whitchurch about 12miles from me so not that far. Cheers

Being honest mate, i haven't a clue where it was! i just followed someone that did😂 Never got the bridge number either🙈 All i can tell you is that it was around 10 minutes away from the Raven cafe!

There probably won't be many more canal matches filmed by me, this year as i tend to spend winter on commercials fishing winter leagues and such. There may be the odd canal match in between but I'm not promising anything.
