I like this video. This music was also played by the band of The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on 20 july 2009 in Wijchen in the Netherlands. Also with the trombones in the audience.

Enough trombones in camouflage playing Lassus Trombone could certainly terrorize the enemy into a hasty retreat!

@HMservant It's because "They dunno what they been told, yessir Hooah!" Whereas we Poms have the "Oi, get up that 12,000 ft hill and back carrying this landrover, in 30 minutes...standby...GO!

Oddly, my acoustic 78rp Columbia disk labels this "De cullud valet" to Miss Trombone. It took me a good time to realize that it was not french, but degraded English for "The Colored Valet".

That is indeed the subtitle -- usually omitted nowadays. I remember it on the sheet music we had back in the early Sixties.

@HMservant It's shows why Brits are generally more funny than Americans, we have a sense of humour when doing things, whereas the Yanks are like Robots.

Ok, all the US armed forces are a bunch of mindless robots with no emotions or soul. I've got a few friends in the US services, and a lot in the British forces too, it's just banter.

Have to differ with you! My husband was part of an Army band from Bad Kreuznach, Germany. They were mainly a publicity band for the USA in the early 70's. Lassus Trombone was one of my favorite songs, and the Germans loved their rendition and the "game playing." Other antics onstage made the band well-loved by everyone!
