MEAT department employee in the early 80s...i like your grinder....there used to be a machine called a CHIPPER that chip those frozen blocks into wafers before put into the hobart meat grinder..that machine has removed a step in the process of hamburger...it is very cool to me..

those saying there is a lot of waste, this was a demonstration, realistically this machine would be running constantly. the only time you encounter waste is when you take the plates apart for cleaning or maintenance. that thing will probably process 100 tons of meat then you lose 5 lbs...

I wonder if they play this slammin music while the guy is grinding meat and he starts getting really motivated seeing how much meat he can grind in an hour and then he starts really believing in himself and enters into meat grinding contests and then one day hes up against a real pro and starts to doubt his meat grinding abilities but his girls in the crowd telling him he can do it and then this music comes on again and he wins the title.

lots of comments regarding wastage of meat by looks this is for large scale not for one piece of bread so in large scale the wastage will a bit barrel-able.

I work in a slaughter house as a kid and we had grinders that you could place a entire half a steer in.BTW No gloves ? It a miracle I still eat meat.

you don't need a glove when processing not ready to eat meat, only when the product is finished and cooked then you need to handle it with a glove..
