    Hi, thanks for the great demo. Do you turn off the air assist? The only time I tried cutting paper, it scorched, and the cutouts flew around. I will try your power/speed settings and see if I can get closer.

    I typically do cut it with the air assist turned off for that reason of pieces flying around.

    Do you have a link to the paper you used to cut out your design? I wanted to try a couple of projects on paper, but i'd rather start on a paper that someone had some reasonable success in prior to me burning through samples. :)

    Is there a reason you didn't run this at a higher power setting and a much faster speed?

  • @MakerExperiment

    @MakerExperiment

    There’s all kinds of combinations you can use. I try not to run it at too fast of a speed when cutting so I get smoother lines. If you move too fast with intricate designs, they may not be as smooth.

    @Maker Experiment Fair point... I just assumed that the price premium that goes with buying an Epilog over a lesser machine would mean problems like that don't exist... I know Trotec machines are capable of very fast speeds without quality deterioration, just assumed Epilog would be the same 🤔

    @@semperidem2577 Epilog is capable of high speeds with high quality. Part of it just comes from my old days of owning a glass tube laser that couldn’t do it.

    How did you get your intricate design into your laser?

    I’m not sure what you mean. I sent it from my design software to the laser software and put my settings in.

    @@MakerExperiment I have Coreldraw as a design software. So I guess I have to get my design into Coreldraw. But it's impossible to get this design into Coreldraw. So I guess I need a design program that's a lot easier to enter my designs into. Do you know of a program that would allow me to download a hand drawing into that would allow me to transfer to my 24"x12" Epilog laser?

  • @MakerExperiment

    @MakerExperiment

    Жыл бұрын

    @@davelyver599 you’ll still need to use a software like Corel or Adobe illustrator if you want to cut. It has to be a vector file.

    @@davelyver599 you’ll have to either create it in the program or trace it in that program if it’s a hand drawing.
