I visited last Sunday...also visited Tim Ho Wan in Kowloon several times...save the plane ticket...this place is 93-95% as good as the original. Ate BBQ pork buns, shrimp dumplings, spicy pork dumplings and braised brisket and noodles... Absolutely sublime!

Bill had a lil too much modelo making out with the first bite pepperoni lol all that food looked so good! Thanks for sharing

Nice that there wasn’t a line at Tom Ho Wan for just opening. The food looked delicious. Loved the preserved egg dish. Now I’m with Bill, not sure about that chicken feet. The shrimp 🍤 looked incredible and tender. Those ribs looked tasty and the baked beans and pork rinds looked interesting. Definitely liked that DOUGHP single scoop you guys got. Great video you two. Really liking your vids. Great to see reviews of the more mainstream spots. Not every KZread food vid needs to be about hidden street food. Started watching from the reopening of Vegas ones and now going back to your older vids. I think Side Piece is my fav pizza in vegas. I like it better than secret pizza in Cosmo.

Some kind of onion dip was served with the cracklings. We enjoyed dipping them in the bbq baked beans, so yummy!

I got so excited when I heard you say bouchon bakery I was hoping you would get the kouign-amann but most people don't know about it I heard about it on the food Network that the Neeleys really love it and it is the best pastry you will ever have... it is layers layers and layers of butter basically and sugar its so good and they warm it up next time you come you must go get one !!!

Glad I was eating pizza when viewing this video. Perfect as it ends with pizza! Those ribs, beans and cracklings looked so good. Need to check it out. Love your facial expressions when you eat something that you really enjoy. Want to check out Rum Bar too. It's been there forever but never tried it. Used to stay at the Rio alot because the rooms were large and had a fridge but it has been years. They had free shuttles to the strip but no more. They changed the masquerade in the sky show to weekends only but I don't think they do it anymore. The Kiss Mini golf location used to be the seafood buffet which was huge. Miss those days. It used to be one of the best/fun places to stay. Caesars just sold it but they will still run it for the next 2 years.

Yes! Mabel's does crank out some tasty pork ribs! Kinda sad about the Rio, we remember back in the day that it was poppin' and that sky show was a lot of fun when they threw out beads. Vegas is constantly changing for sure.

The Rio stopped their carnival parade about 5 years ago. We used to stay there every visit, but now have switched to Harrahs.

We remember the Rio was the place to be back in the day. Their buffet was considered one of the best in Vegas. How things change.

Try the chocolate croissant at Patisserie at Aria. It will change your life. I'm not even kidding. I don't know exactly what was in it, but the best description was that it had a candy bar and some sort of custard inside, outside drizzled in honey, chocolate drizzle and little crispy chocolate balls. Amazing, $5.00 each.

Bill & Lisa , you have to try Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ at Red Rock Station .They have the BEST BBQ ribs in town so tender and they serve muffins with apple butter .The sauce is sweet yet tangy , the have three different flavors of sauce and you have to try the sweet tea or peach lemonade 😍💖💖

Try Earl of Sandwich @the Palms. Yum! Also, have you tried Afternoon tea @ The RíRà inside Mandalay? It's pretty cool?.

Looks great.. unfortunately I heard the Palms won't be opening soon.. ribs looked great.

The rio I'm going to miss that place...I cant believe how bad it's gotten I remember taking our kids to the masquerade parade in the sky every day just for the necklaces...😔

Sorry Lisa, that foot just freaked me out! I could never eat it. I know my sister uses the feet to make broth and they are suppose to be filled with collagen. Good for your skin and many other things. 😊 Thanks for the great video!

I haven't finished watching the whole video yet I see that you're going to go to Mabel's BBQ hopefully you got the pork belly it is $16 but a huge amazing piece and it is some of the best pork belly you will ever have they have a great happy hour to which I go to a lot... speaking of happy hours I also want to let you know that the best Happy hour in town is that Firefly even the french fries are amazing and the ribs are to die for you have to check it out it is so good

I love the kouign amman pastry at Bouchon. Please try Black Tap at The Venetian next time. Wait until you have their crazy shakes! I'm sure you've seen them on social media. I highly recommend the Cake Shake. So amazing and surprisingly not overly sweet.

oh my goodness I know I'm leaving a lot of comments on this video but the palms is where I gamble and also where I eat all the time so I would definitely recommend one place and they're called the Lucky Penny I know it's just a cafe but they have one dish called the bacon and egg fried rice it is so delicious I literally had it five times last month I wish I could put a picture on here and show you how beautiful it is it is a sweet rice dish with bacon in it and then there's two pieces of pork belly on the side of it and then a fried egg on top it is amazing... 13.00 and well worth it... actually for a casino Cafe lucky penny has really stepped up their game they have all kinds of good dishes and I know Bill likes fish and chips they have a huge fish and chips like literally it's 12in long you must try it so good

I stayed at the Palms my last trip to Vegas a couple of years ago and I loved it, but renovations were still in progress so no dim sum or bbq for me :( Our next trip going to try Silverton and next up I want to try Gold Coast. Stayed at The Orleans but never Gold Coast. Thanks for sharing guys. Great vid as usual. Now off to check on the Crack Shack v Hattie B's lol.

Not to knock Gold Coast, but it's no Palms. We got a comp'd room there, so it worked perfectly for us. If you get the chance, check out the dim sum and bbq next time you're near the Palms.

@@billandlisa May be worth a comparison of where I can get the best deal I guess :) I did like the Palms but I've been told Gold Coast has a good deal and the rooms are OK. Probably the best overall deal I could find would be TI - nice rooms, great location. But I like to stay different places

just stayed at the Tuscany. big suites and quiet. couple of blocks from the strip . and it was very reasonable. free parking . will stay there in the future

That croissant was very Vegas good, better than the ones inside the Paris hotel bakery. lol We don't usually order cocktails, but for beers, seen them range from 50 cents to 6 bucks a bottle.

We typically share the expenses. On this trip, Lisa got a comp'd room at the Gold Coast. I got some meals, she got some meals, works perfectly!

The reason thete is no line there is because the locals and dim dum purists go to Ping Pang Pong, which is across the street from the Palms! It's a much better value, in quality, service, and price! And the atmosphere is very vibrant. Tim Ho Wan, like she said about the original one in HK, is "Best Dim Sum at Best Price" BUT the two I've been to now (Irvine, CA and now LV) is so over overpriced and commercialized and made more for American palette rather than for traditional Cantonese palettes and the choices for dim sum there is super limited!

but you can't beat the pork belly buns at Tim Ho wan they are delicious and I have gone there just to get those and take them home they even heat up the next day very well... They are $2 a piece and sweet and delicious !!

Mabel's has a very good beef rib. But it's quite expensive.

Bill, you don't seem to know much about dim sum. But that's okay, Lisa got this one!!!

Lots of steakhouse choices on the strip, we have yet to try one. If in Downtown, check out Andiamo's steakhouse in the D hotel. Their zip steak sauce is amazing!

For the price, can't beat Yum Cha. Not to take away from Tim Ho Wan, they have some unique dim sum like their version of the bbq pork bao which was very good, along with their chicken feet and shrimp har gow. That said, if you're looking for some quick service authentic dim sum and don't really care if a place has a Michelin Star, Yum Cha is hard to beat.

Fox Brothers is great. People bag on it because hipsters eat there.
