Las Terrenas has amazing villas hidden in the mountains. My friends from Canada rented this incredible home on Airbnb, for only $78 (CAD) per night for 2 week stay. This video gives you a complete tour of the house, the landscape, and the drive up the mountain. The 15-minute drive up the mountain road from Las Terrenas is an adventure in itself! Narrow roads, traffic jams, scooters dodging in and out, drivers on the wrong side of the road and huge construction trucks. A slice of daily life in Las Terrenas! Once you are on top of the mountain, it is another world! Peaceful, filled with the sounds of nature. Great views of the ocean and Las Terrenas.

I was told there is a communal pool for that housing development.about 5 minute walk. Thanks for pointing that out...I may have mentioned it the video. Thanks for watching!

Great Video Nancy. We have been visiting Las Terrenas for 5 years now. Our goal for retirement in a few years is to be in Las Terrenas for 3 months. Just wondering how far out of town this rental is. Great price to!!! Also can I ask what you are paying for the rental you are in? I saw it in your other video. It too looks great. We will be there in a few weeks for 3 wonderful weeks. Can't wait!!!

HI Christina, the mountain house is a 15 minute drive from town, very steep, narrow, road. It is 15 min to the closest beach. You can get a lot of apartments for $50-$70, CAD and even better rate for long-stays, and some locations even cheaper. Hotel Oasis, where I am staying, is on Airbnb. Several units , different owners, are listed, $50-$70/nite. Mine cost $82 (before fees) because it has been renovated. STAY TUNED FOR A VIDEO i am going to do, COMPARING APARTMENTS AND PRICES.
