    Not true in country schools. Schools in the areas I know are always competing against schools in other areas and other counties. You should see all the displays of winners trophies.

It is absolutely clear why you like &support Trump hes infantile just like you or more accurately you have the same bully&pester attitude that he does I hope you enjoy him as much when he has succeeded in distroying this countryand ushered in a recession/depression the likes of which no one under the age of 60 has ever experienced!Trump mania is a cult that is going to hurt a lot of little people who have consistently payed thier share of the dues we all owe in order to live in a Civilized society( my lateda used to tell me that every time he took his tax payment to the town tax collecters office it was no chump change either but he paid it in full without the use of an accountant finding all kinds of loopholes to save him money this country needs more people today like him he didn't bully people or lie or belittle the media when it printed things about politicans he strongly supported-he &my mum strongly supported Richard Nixon I didn't share thier opinion but respected it because they really took thier vote seriously and paid close attention to how well thier campaign talk matched what they were doing&saying once in office I hope you are paying attention to the candidate who wanted to help hardworking Americans keep more of thier money and we all are watching the 'national debt grow wildly- and the deficit as well he said he'd have both taken care of in 8 years! Uh... Well- it's now a good bit longer than the 8 years he said it would take him &both the national debt and the deficit are much higher!how does that sit with you?

    The adoration of the 'celebrity', has perpetuated the 'victim' culture. People seem to have more affinity with characters who are the epitome of selfishness. Celebrities seem to promote the idea of being a victim. People should disconnect with media and reconnect with the real people around them.

    Yes in school I felt bad when I failed to win. But that bad feeling motivated me to get faster, stronger and to hit harder. By my senior year I weighed 260 and bench 325lbs and squared 800+lbs. No college wanted me because I was to short. So I joined the US Army and never regretted it. Failure pushes us passed what we think is possible and that is good.

    The most dangerous word in the English language is "deserve". My existence on this planet merits me nothing. I didn't have much to do with it anyway. NO ONE deserves anything. We either EARN it, or BUY IT. A firefighter does not DESERVE our respect, he EARNS it by his willingness to be a first responder. I bought a car-"GET THE SERVICE YOU DESERVE!!" they tell us. But why do I deserve it? I don't. I buy it, they don't give it to me. I buy it and pay for it and if I don't get it there, I will get it elsewhere. It isn't a matter of "deserve". It never, ever is.

    I've always told my child & grandchild that they're special, wonderful, & smart. But, I also told them to be fair, honest, & kind to others. Respect is important. We don't always receive a prize or win the race, but we have a good time doing it! My kids aren't snowflakes, that's for sure!

    In the 90's I was in a group that was establishing a mission statement for an elementary school. I suggested that part of the statement should address a personal honor code for students. I was flogged by the teachers as a, "militarist". Twenty years later we see the results.

    It's not just people in their teens and 20s. I'll be 50 this month and as a kid, I saw the start of this. Kids were getting 'everyone' trophies even then and kids were being told they were special then. But my generation has spawned two more generations and that slope has continued the same direction

    I think the test is, call them a snowflake & 2atch them have a meltdown - the term couldn't be more apt.
