Larry was supposed to be the lead of the show but Erik just naturally was a show off and the public took to him instead, that's the real reason Larry left and Erik did his own stunts and showed more commitment and dedication. I loved both characters and respect them both equally.

Just after Larry left Chips I was an extra in a Movie that he was in and he was really lovely guy, happy to chat. Always fancied him in Chips

I always liked the character of Jon Baker, he was always calm and rational and almost never lost his cool when having to put up with Ponch's outlandish ideas.

He's such a humble down to earth guy 😘

I spent the last six years of my Law Enforcement Career riding motors. I watched Chips from day one and was 15 when it came on. Those two are great actors because you would not have known they didn't like each other.

I still watch it today and I'm 48 thank god they brought it back I loved Bonnie it's the reason I started riding motorcycles and will till I die

Timothy is 4 now and he never misses a day of chips that comes on six every weekday. John is his favorite cop in the show. I hope when my son has children they get to watch chips to.

Larry's beautiful hair here, wow. He had it cut for the CHiPs reunion movie but he looked good in that. Not bad now but a little older. I always preferred him to Erik. Sorry Erik but that's it.

its good to see interviews from the 70's & 80's it was not often I would catch the shows, mainly in Repeats. so catching the interviews was not possible I was younger so I just didn't & couldn't watch everything.
