What a nice man, even at 81 Larry Hagman still had a fun childish nature that was adored by so many, i think that Dallas is a fantastic show, with a brilliant leading man that will be missed by millions of people the world over, we can all thank video for these timeless capsules of memories
Men like this are born once every 150 years... so in fact, we won't meet any other Larry Hagman. Talented, polite, great human being.

I completely agree!!! I m replying your comment 13 years later. Say hi to know u are still with us.
One thing about Larry Hagman...he is who he is, and he doesn't pretend to be something he isn't. AND he still has the values he learned from growing up with his grandparents in Texas. I have always loved him since his role in South Pacific! He has made every show he has been a part of better for his involvement.

Larry Hagman WAS Dallas. Show could never have worked the way it did without him.
Rest in Peace Larry, you were one of a kind :)

Goodness, I hadn't seen him since a T.V special on Dallas, he has aged so much and yet so well. Brilliant actor
J R , what can I say, you are the reason I watched Dallas and truly became addicted ! You made Dallas , LOVE your character and spent countless hours over the years watching you over the years.
Your the best actor ever I loved watching Dallas. Dallas will not be the same without him rip Larry
LARRY = AWESOME RIP SIR
Larry was a real one-off, such a character. I heard him do an impression of how JR sounds in Japan once - I couldn't stop laughing 😅
I love to Larry Hagman. El es un excelente actor.

9-21-2009. Happy Birthday, Larry. I liked you in Dallas as J.R. Ewing, the guy you loved to hate. As a child, I remember you on I Dream of Jeannie. Many happy returns.

He turned 78 that day; 3 50th birthdays on 9-21-2009: Dave Coulier on the same day, my dad on the 22nd, Jason Alexander on the 23rd.
I love how he said the Romanian dictator and his wife got what they deserved. 😂
The best villian in TV history. I'm Chinese, but I've always been interested about the oil industry in texas.

It seems to me Larry WAS I Dream of Jeannie's Maj. Tony Nelson in real life. RIP.

Mark Watney went lost in space, not Major Nelson.
Watch the Who Shot Mr Burns ep of The SImpsons - that's a parody of Dallas's Who Shot Jr?
He seems so nice in real life. JR was truly ruthless and detestable but in a way I liked him
lol, so many years later, but still the same voice, personality, and pretty much the same looks!
Some people deserve to live forever
That was some good advice his mom gave him.

RIP, LARRY HAGMAN.
Being romanian, Dallas was a huge hit in my country! What country wasn't? I remember when JR was shot, everybody was talking about "Who shot JR?". Personally, JR was my favorite character, couldn't stand anyone who liked Bobby or Cliff or whoever!

He had bushy eyebrows.
Did anyone notice when he was telling the story about the woman waiting in his bed that when he listed the three reasons why he didn't sleep with her, none of the three was the fact that he was MARRIED?!

Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) wasn't so much better because of that hair and beard (which both didn't look like 4 years later).
Wow, dating the Collins sisters, Larry the hound.
Nobody else could have played JR
2:28-2:31 and then 2:52-2:54, lol!
Don't think Larry took the last suggestion to be reasonably sober too serious, my brother passed from cirrhosis and Larry would have too if he didnt have the money to buy a liver. They normally didn't give the second chance to alcoholics.
Do you think he would have done it with Barbara Eden if she asked him?

The charm just falls out of him, but just for the record, that's not JR, that's bumbling Tony Nelson.
I would have offered myself too...😋😍. I love real men

How did he ever gig the gig on Dallas, after his insane behavior on the set of I DREAM OF JEANIE? By rights, he should have been black balled for a while, at least.

The script was offered to him. People were a lot more tolerant and looked the other way back then. Not like now where everyone is so hypersensitive to EVERYTHING. Good thing bad thing I guess. Humans are a lot more toxic now than back then in 1965. Cleaner air, water and more nutrients in the ground. Not like today.

He showed up in character, with the big cowboy hat on, suit & boots. I'm sure it was his idea about the show since he is from Texas and was about someone he knew.

Major Tony Nelson on I Dream of Jeannie. especially J.R. Ewing on Dallas.
Remember when Larry was gravely ill and no one expected hi to live long? Why do I get the impression that might have been about some scam he might have been running? Love Hagman but don't know if I would trust that rascal....
