I still remember the day I saw her get on that high school bus shorts T-shirt and my heart in her hand from that day forward. We've been out of high school for quite some decades now but every time she walks through the door it's like I'm seeing her for the first time again the butterflies in my stomach and more dreams of our future together all over again because I love her and she is my best friend. You know, you really have to be internally bankrupt to take the time to thumb down something like this. I have seen tons of music videos that I don't care for but I have never thumbed one down. Why bring more negativity into the world? People need to do some soul searching.

There are few people that sing about what is to be a American Citizen. Larry is one of the best. His music is deep in Christian faith and freedom.

I truly believe this speaks to so many, because our society has lost sight of what true masculinity is. This song is a glimpse into the heart of EVERY man. Feeling like THIS as a man is natural. Its what you are supposed to want. This speaks to his heart not his actions, because his actions are being dictated by his heart, not the other way around. When our actions dictate our heart we are out of sync with ourselves. We are going against the grain within ourselves. We are violating our own conscience and then wondering why we always feel so "violated". Our actions are dictating our heart because we have been taught that "all that I got" should go to everyone BUT our family... The government. Our job/career. The grocery store. Our "social status". Our financial status. These are all investments... Of time... Energy... Emotions... The problem is... They don't pay a return on our investment. They just take more, until we have nothing left to give anyone. But to invest those things into your family, is to invest in a better future for us all.

I spent the best part of my life believing if I held the line dome what I needed worked hard it would pay off. Here I am a wife and 3 girls later, broke alone and still depended on.

I woke up this morning to this song shared to my family group text. My Dad, “Larry”, suddenly passed away of a heart attack 2 months ago. 73 years old. Thermos waiting on the counter. Redwings ready on the back porch. And old Ford patiently waiting for Him to idle his skid steer down the road to the next day of making a dollar. My mom, his wife, of 51 years laying by his side…. I’ve never heard a song hit so close to home. Glad you will be in Greenville SC Nov 6th (2 days after his (would be) 74th birthday)

I was introduced to Cody Johnson a few years ago by a good friend in Nashville. A good story surrounds my first experience at Third and Lindsley watching Cody there. Since then I have a deep passion for Larry Fleet, Cody Jink, Stirgil Simpson, Cody Johnson, Jamey Johnson, with some songs from Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs. When I listen to this song I wish it was me and my wife in a cabin by the lake living simple with each other.
