Now, I was definitely a Celtics/Bird fan. But when Magic tells stories about he and Larry, I pay close attention because Magic was not only the enemy on the court, but he was also a phenomenal player and a class act. And for that, he had my respect. Bird and Johnson saved the NBA.

Great video - As always! Bird was a different animal. I never was big into basketball and only started when Jordan started playing - so I never saw Bird in his prime and he was pretty rough from his back injury by then. But my grandparents were always Celtics fans. I never understood the hype behind Bird. I am so happy I took the time to look back in recent years to find out how phenomenal he truly was. Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron get all the hype and flash, but Bird (and Magic) were truly different.
