It happens but in this case it was really obvious Larisa is better than the other one. I was also shocked she got only 13.050.good job coach!

I don't think they tried to steal her gold, there were many inquiries, including Sanli, I guess they were just inexperienced judges, that's it.

@@jamesbagley2937 idk, I feel like they betted on the habbit of Romanian coaches not to submin inquities. It happend to Ponor on beam in 2012 Olympics. Actually, i think this is the first inquity I see ever submited by Romanian coaches în 10 years.

Even if I'm not expert, I can see that Larissa definitely won.

What a significant mistake. I hope the inquiry was free of charge.

If the inquiry was accepted, they get their money back. But if they reject it, they would've literally paid $300 for nothing

@@mht4908 Wait i didn't knew that you have to pay for an inquiry. Like a lot of gymnasts (esp the ones from not top countries) got their scores dropped by a lot because of bias, and they have to pay to get the score reviewed when it's judges entire faults. It's awful wow...

@@gaodrob7938 Yeah you need to pay a certain amount of money to get an inquiry, I’m not 100% sure on the amount, but it’s around $300, and you can only inquire on the D-score. This was why the Rio judges were able to give Shang Chunsong such a low score on the balance beam during the AA final and get away with it. They gave her the full difficulty but completely lowballed her execution, if you watched her routine you would think it should’ve scored higher than an 8.433, which robbed her of the bronze medal

It's kinda like double bouncing on a trampoline, you have to also master the art of landing on a bouncy floor while reaping the benefits of being able to perform higher flips...

Larisa's comeback story is one of the most epic for sure but I still don't think she'll be able to contend for a medal in Tokyo. Her e scores have been so low despite going clean on her routines. Something is no longer the same after Bitang and Belu left. Romania should invite Alexandrov instead to revive their program especially on bars.

D Leo she only needs to finish top two among athletes who didn’t participate in a previous qualifying. This means team members like Melnikova, Downie, MDJDS, and Villa can’t qualify extra spots, and also individuals like Steingruber and Kovacs who already qualified also aren’t eligible. The only ones who could fight against Larisa are new seniors like Urazova, Listunova, Gadirova, or Sfiringu, plus gymnasts who missed the qualifying worlds like Amelie Morgan or Vanessa Ferrari

in terms of AA, time will tell...but she definitely is already a BB contender. Her 14.133 & 14 scores here would have put her 4th at Worlds

It would be shame in WAG if a D score of 4.8 would win the gold medal in senior competitions! Larisa's E score should be at least 8.1

I have been reading on some other forum that a few people would not have credited her memmel turn... I don’t see why - would somebody care to explain? A judge maybe? I don’t even see what’s even borderline about it but I am no judge. Thanks

She dropped her leg before finishing the 2nd turn, but it was like 1/8 of the turn. So if judges are not extremely strict, they count it as a double turn.

her execution score was a bit too low... the score should’ve been around a 13.700 because the judges were very harsh with larisa’s e-score, but not goksu’s. hmmmmm? larisa did have some landing issues and the major form break on her 2.5 twist, she also fell out of her quad turn just a tad.

Israel competes in Euris because Asians Feds would not take them. It avoids conflicts. Also Turks have been competing in Euros for a long time. 2nd junior euros was held in Turkey back in 1980.

Been thinking... had she gotten even just the first (lower) score during the team finals, Romania could still have snatched gold for the team.

I love Larisa since she was junior, but I'm not sure she would've had that Gomez and Memmel revaluated if this wasn't Euros. I won't assert if they were right or not, but surely 5.2 was not absurd, at least debatable, considering how questionable her turns were. We saw gymnasts devaluated for less last year at WC.

Este europeo no fue clasificatorio por la baja concurrencia. Lo será el de abril.

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi le Roumanie 🇷🇴 ne mise jamais sur les nouvelles ou les jeunes ??? La gymnastique est un sport de renouveau, de nouveaux talents. Mais ils ont tout le temps tendance à s’attacher sur des sportifs.

Toute l'équipe séniore ( hors Iordache ) est composée de 1ere année séniore donc que des nouvelles. Larisa était la meilleure de cette équipe, alors qq soit son âge, ils la prennent dans l'équipe. De plus, son expérience peut apporter bcp dans une compet équipe.

@@Ewout12345 I think that initially, they must have not given credit to either turn but gave credit to both D leaps. After the inquiry it seems like they gave credit to both turns but took away credit to one of the D leaps.
