Jack Corcoran is about to hit it big time, until his life takes a major detour. A telegram informs him that his long-deceased father has, in fact, only recently died and that Jack is the sole heir to his possessions. Jack goes to claim his inheritance, only to discover that his deadbeat dad was a circus clown and that his inheritance is an eight thousand-pound elephant named Vera.
