LARGEMOUTH ON SAGINAW BAY!! Bass Pro Tour - Stage Seven Qualifying Rounds
Here we go! The last event of the 2023 BPT Tournament Season, the last event of my first season on the BPT, the last push for the AOY title.... I came into the event with 3 other anglers all within 10 points of the Angler of the Year title. From Day 1, AOY was my goal so this event was huge! Saginaw Bay is part of Lake Huron and Great Lakes fisheries are my favorite so I went into the event wanting to fish for smallmouth so Day 1 we went out with that plan! Day 1 didn't go as planned, I ended day 1 just outside of the Top 20 cut... in the Great Lakes, mother nature always wins out and the weather on Day 1 and Day 2 was not favorable for my smallmouth bite. So, on Day 2 I choose to go and fish my largemouth bite. Having only practiced Largemouth for 2-3 hours during practice, I was taking a leap on Day 2.... Check out how it all went down!!
