Yo dude, you is a serious. I live in San Diego, Ca. They had a lot of fishing trawlers here back in the day. Seiners I think they called them. Things of BEAUTY. I had a friend who was a cook on board one of them. Yours looks like them, Thing of beauty. CIAO

I used to build scratch built R/C model boats and this is one very lovely model.. I can only guess at the amount of hours spent on this. Well done.

MR. Willemkens, its great piece of work that youve made on your model. I know that you spend to many hours on plans but is there any possibility to get some basic plans of this boat. I would like to build this trawler in smaller scale. Thank you for any kind of answer. Stay safe and Best regards

What sort of fish can you catch??

I'm using a high density house insulation panel cut up to fit in between the bulkheads on my project and using a battery foam cutter to trim off the access.

Awww, what a shame you didn't strip plank it or even double diagonal thinner strips! It would have saved you an awful lot of time filling and rubbing down, filling and rubbing down....

fishing vessel with in built bulbus bow

Amazing detail that somebody like me (I have been a Professor of Naval Architecture for over 40 years at the U of Michigan, after 4 grad degrees from MIT) can appreciate. I hope, however, you will not be tempted to run this model way too fast, because it will then look like a damn toy and NOT like a serious, accurate ship model. I warn you because almost ALL who operate RC ships run them RIDICULOUSLY FAST AND RUIN THE WHOLE IDEA.
