You are such a wonderful role model. You are literally my idol right now. We just bought our second house. Moved from our mini homestead in Texas to Florida. House needs a lot of work before we move in and we're staying with a friend. I feel so lost. My heart is home in Texas. I miss my plants, my big yard. I miss my chickens and my projects. It will all come together in time but gosh...I miss being stable. My kids being ripped from place to place it seems. Agh! Thank you for being so wonderful

Hi - suggestion for room layout... 1/put chair and ottoman where you planned on putting tv.. 2/ put tv left of fireplace 3/ put a couch under window 4/ center couch on far wall... it will looked less crammed and utilize room layout. 😊

I would place the sofa in front of the window, the love seat centered on the wall and chair angled on the left of the fireplace. The fireplace is the focal point of the room. Tv above/on mantle.

I think my favorite parts of all of your vlogs is how you talk to yourself, often times in ways that only you understand...and you're absolutely fine and confident with it. Interior designer here 😊 You can pull the sofa closer (possibly aligning with the edge of fireplace) to the TV then you’d have room for a sofa table behind the sofa and put some lamps as additional lighting. Also you could put the love seat in front of the window., centered. Additionally the chair and a half could go in corner - angled. A side table might be nice at the chair for reading or a drink to hang out on. Wish KZread would allow me to attach a drawing 😀 house looks amazing! You are doing such a wonderful job with everything!

Jamerrill, I don't know how you do it. Such a busy life. We are the same age but I just can't. I get tired after 3 hours of chores. You clean, the house gets messy again immediately. You get to cleaning again. You cook huge freezer meals. You home school your kids, you do farming. I know it's not easy with many kids. You are absolutely amazing.

I was thinking if you mounted the tv above the fireplace it would give you more options for seating arrangements. Love the colors and the direction you're going. 👍

I like that idea. Then the half chair can move to that corner and the couch can be centered. Then put her mirrors on each side of TV.

During this video I had to stop four times which resulted in me buying two different decorating items from Etsy and a set of rain gutter display shelves from Amazon. Yes! My husband went out and bought new couches without consulting me and I admit I commented on it for weeks. They are very nice just not the style I had in mind. I finally let it go but, was glad to hear Jamerills wise words. She spoke into words my feelings. They will stick with me as I decorate to my hearts content all around those unsolicited, yet beautiful couches. 💕😋

BE SURE AND put some of those pieces in the bath rooms....don't neglect the bathroom they deserve some real nice pieces.

I really enjoy Jamerrill's vlogs, her reasoning and chats really make me chuckle and I can so relate to her thought process, "it spoke to me" might be my new war cry with my husband.

We moved around the same time you did and I still haven't been able to decorate my walls because we decided to paint ourselves(can't afford a professional for the entire house). Well I haven't painted a thing yet lol and most of our decor is still packed. Thanks for the motivation. This was a fun video.

Hon, you just have so many projects going at once inside and out and something is gonna suffer from lack of attention!! Give yourself a little time.....I know mega and large and full steam ahead is your way but take a breath. You've taken on everything since you moved. Animals, gardening, canning, food preservation, children, home schooling, remodeling just everything! I know you depend on The Lord to keep you healthy and going, but boy, he has a hard time keeping up with you! Lol. Just take the time to enjoy what you do accomplish Jamerrill. I'm really not trying to tell you how to live your life or anything like that. Just enjoy the journey and take care of yourself in the process because you handle so much at once.

You have to keep in mind as well that she has older children to help with younger children and an extremely helpful husband who is at home all the time. Many hands make light work. She also delegates beautifully 😉

Aww. My son used to say “I love you and I love you” to my brother as his way of saying “I really really love you”. So cute. He was about 4 or 5. Sadly my brother passed away a few years later.

For your living room furniture placement, you may want to try putting the couch in front of the window, the love seat where you currently have the couch and your husband's chair coming out diagonally from the corner (left of the fireplace). @@JamerrillStewart it wouldn't be terribly difficult to move the furniture around for Christmas to put the tree there (that's definitely what I would want also!). I had to rearrange my Living Room probably a dozen times before I found the exact right spot for everything - you can live with it for a while and see what works and what doesn't.

Decorating is quite the process! We just closed on our first home at the end of June so now Im trying to figure out how to work with our new space considering our last place was a rental and a lot smaller. I am the person who wants to do it ALL at once but Im trying to take things slowly and focus on what I truly love and want to have our home reflect who we are as a family. Your home looks so cozy! Im in love with all of the stained glass!

You bought some beautiful items. I know what you mean on taking a while to decide on things, it has taken me almost 6 years to decide on what color to paint the walls in just 2 rooms and I’m sure it will take me another 6 years to decide on colors for the rest of the house.

When you said “the kids can fight over it when I die” it immediately reminded me of my mother. She always says these kind of things, and has tons of chicken decor. There’s 7 of us, I’m her youngest at 21! She had me right around 40 after they thought they were done having children for medical reasons. She named me after the angel, Gabriel, because she said I was her unexpected blessing from The Lord. My oldest sibling is now 33 and a mama of 2 herself!

I (and so many others) absolutely love your you tube videos. You are a pure joy to watch, so please continue to allow us to visit you and yours. You have a definite flair for design. Your home turned out beautifully. Thank you for allowing us into your life.😀

Maybe move the television where the loveseat is and the chair where the television is. Then, I see your setup and fell in love with the living room. My way would have been kind of boring. Hi Jamerrill! Just a suggestion, I think your large couch would be best in front of your bay window. It isn’t too big to cover it and would help your seating and tables look not as cramped. Maybe you could move the love seat to the wall the couch is now and the half chair where the love seat is now. Use the corner where the half chair is now for your tv stand. I just feel seating facing the fireplace would be beautiful and relaxing!! Love your videos, specifically Sharp Shopper. Would love to have one here in Kentucky! My 2 year old daughter loves yogurt and I get jealous of your yogurt deals! 😊

The MAIN reason driving my goal to keep the front window open (pay no attention to the new TV stand temporarily sitting there, lol 😆), is I want the Christmas Tree to be in front of that big window each year. @@JamerrillStewart I think I would try the couch in front of big window put travis chair in corner where the t.v is sitting now angled or facing towards the corner where the love seat is sitting at now then put the t.v. stand angled in the corner left of the mantel where you have the love seat at now then put a couch center on wall under the mason jar picture which will leave room on each side for tables or your book shelves .Then you could rearrange furniture for 1 the month of out of the year you want the tree in front of the window.Love all the stained glass windows and the wall decor.❤❤❤

I stopped the video and studied the room. I love decorating. This room is really lovely with that fireplace and saving the window for the Christmas tree. You bought a lovely set but using it all in one room will clog up the space. Use the gray love seat on the kitchen wall and put the blue sofa downstairs. I think these two rooms will flow better like that. Put the chair + ottoman to the right of the window if you’re facing it - to your right when you walk in the room. Angle it kitty corner facing the fireplace with ottoman in front as foot rest. Center the large sofa on the wall straight ahead when you walk in. Put a coffee table in front of it. Put TV kitty corner to your left when you walk in the room - to the left of the fireplace. Now the sofa and the chair can view the TV and the fireplace. The seating should be facing the fireplace which is not only useful for fires but more pleasing aesthetically as it compliments the centerpiece of the room. Right now every seating is facing away from the fireplace and it feels awkward and like the best features are being fought against not highlighted. You can always add some bean bags/other compact kid seating for that room and they can just be stacked up in a corner or brought up from downstairs/bedrooms when needed. Hope this helps💕

We all have our own personal style when it comes to decor, her house isn't even close to being over crowded, in some styles of decor you can barely find an empty wall space anywhere in the home, or any empty square foot that doesn't have a tiny table holding a plant, some books, or something someone picked up on their travels. Some homes, like Kim and Kanye West, have 1000's of sq ft of nothing but stark white walls, white floors, white furniture, and very little ot it. The beauty of this world is our uniqueness and being able to be happy for others when they are happy with their style. My house doesn't have a single chicken or farm animal print in it, and it's not likely I ever will (never say never, ya never know...I might see one day that clucks to me) but I sure do love each and every one of Jamerilles because I adore her, her ability to shine so much joy and love into a world that is quite frankly deeply lacking in both. She is this beacon of hope in an otherwise pretty doomsday filled environment we are currently living in. If each and every one of those things she has loving placed around her home bring her joy, then that makes me incredibly happy for her.

Stainglass windows make me think of you and now my grandmother. She passed away last November and my mom asked me if I would like her stainglass window from her house and of course I took it! So now every time I look at it I smile and think of y’all. 😊❤️

for front room... can you put the long couch facing the fireplace, second biggest couch on far wall (but not touching), and big chair in corner across from TV (angled into room). the small white ends table can go between the two couches to complete the corner. the ottoman can sit where a coffee table would.
