💰LARGE FAMILY BUDGET GROCERY SHOPPING + HUGE THRIFT STORE Book Haul 📚

Yes! Today I'm back mommas with a large family budget grocery shopping haul PLUS a HUGE Thrift Store book haul! I spent the morning out going to some appointments with a good friend. While I was out, I hit my favorite Thrift Store for amazing books for another friend of mine who started a small private school a few years ago. I stopped in with another friend to visit and chat for an hour or so (friends, friends, friends, haha 🤣). Then I hit my local Sharp Shopper for AMAZING deals as always! I snagged discount yogurt, lunch meat, canned fruit, juices, and much more. Once back home, I lay all the budget grocery shopping deals out on the table to share with you. Last but not least, I share my huge Thrift Store book haul with you where I share books for my friend and books for our homeschool - yay!!

Hey, the expiration dates aren’t the end all be all. It’s just a date that the store has to sell it by and that it’s best tasting by. The food doesn’t automatically go bad on that date. Your senses are your best tool, use your smell, sight, taste and intuition!

In my country we have best before date and use by date. Best before means you can eat the food after the date and use your intuition. Use by means don't eat it after the date. It can be a bit confusing for some people. I personally look, eat, smell etc to see if the food is still okay to eat.

You should never have to explain how you spend your money on food for your family. These people who are having a cow about feeding your family only organic foods are most likely not even doing it themselves. You are feeding your family good foods 99% of the time, everyone is entitled to a treat now and then. The main thing is that you are feeding your family and thats what I love seeing, rather than worrying about if the foods are clean, organic, etc.

I really appreciate how humble you are. Life is a balance. I am 25 with 5 kids under 12 and my husband is a carpenter. Sometimes he brings home great money and others he is inbetween jobs. Being from PA we have been too Sharp Shopper quite a few times, also Price Rite. Never the most healthy but our kids do not go hungry. We splurge on farmers market food and grow our own produce but with lots of kids, it's not cheap to buy the healthy food al the time. It will break the bank quick. I've been watching your videos since I was 19 and a pregnant hormonal wreck wondering how I was going to raise this family and why this was my path. Finding your videos and Nicci Lynn's really helped me be the best version of me. I can not thank you enough!

Great snacks and stuff you got there! It's a shame you have to justify what YOU feed YOUR family. Even if Sharp Shopper is the only store you ever buy groceries in, that's your business. No one should EVER judge what people choose to share on KZread. TFS! Love your channel.

I enjoy watching "real life." There are nights when my kids have 3 different activities in 3 different locations...all needing to be there at the same time. And those nights, I feel like I'm worn out way more than they are (after playing a game of baseball/softball/etc). Sometimes the best I can do is throw a processed, full of sugar snack at them on the way out the door. And I like to know that I'm not the only one 💁

You have my admiration which is hard to get these days with so many parents not teaching their children the better points of life. I watched a few of your videos where you "cook forward" and I was tired just watching. If there was a Mother of the Century award I would give it to you. What a wonderful job you do on a daily basis. You would probably be one of my best friends if we could ever get together. Don’t worry about buying sugared cereal’s, pop tarts, candy and all that other good stuff. Anybody that tells you that they live 100% organic, grass fed meat and no junk food must be crazy. Are you see everyone by and grocery stores is exactly what you buy. You’re doing just fine the way you raise your kids! Thank you so much for being part of our lives and sharing all that you do💕

Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne's House of Dreams, Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, and Rilla of Ingleside.

Just a heads up on the Dr.Bell/Helen Keller book for those who don't know. Bell was actually a eugenicist who wanted to forbid Deaf people from getting married and wanted them to basically have no rights. While it's important to learn about people in history, unfortunately, many kids books don't show the "bad side" to historical figures.

The most important thing is that you and your family are active and healthy, and you seem to be doing just fine in those departments! I love how you encourage their learning. As a kid I'd ask questions all the time, and my dad would always sit there and talk for hours about whatever it was, or if I didn't know he'd have me look it up. We'd watch shows about space because I was interested in it. And I love that when your kids ask a question or have an interest you'll go out of your way to just engage them on that subject and try to encourage whatever that is. Even just getting a book about flies cause your son asked a question about that, or getting a book about biology of dinosaurs because they like drawing dinosaurs. That's just such a great way to encourage them to learn.

Do you recommend reading the Boxcar Children in order? I always see them but never a full set. Wasn’t sure if we could just jump in anywhere.

I remember reading (One if not all books) in 3rd Grade! Ms. Bayless.. Florence Elementary in Mesquite, Texas!! She even had, I wanna say two refrigerater boxes put together in the back of the class and that was our own "Boxcar" we could go inside and read or play bored games during free time etc. AND THEN Ms. Bayless brought a crockpot full of "Boxcar Children Stew" for all of us 3rd graders to try!! I am 37 now and this CLEARLY is still fresh in my mind as I really enjoyed it!! Thanks for bringing that little memory up!!❤️❤️❤️

I get my kids cereal very rarely, but with 5, they’ll go through that much in 2-3 mornings... out of 30 in a month. Seriously, the same people judging the cereal and likely giving theirs happy meals. Gary Paulson is one of our favorites! My kids loved the whole hatchet series! We are reading the Clara Barton book soon! And little house will forever be a favorite! I was super excited for a new video! 💗💗💗

On one of my haul videos someone told me I was rotting my kids guys because I bought a box of fruit gummies for a homeschool party .😄 Great book deal!!! My homeschool momma heart leaps for joy with you ! Laura wrote the first four years without Rose's help. Rose helped put the rest together.

Oh so many memories when I see all the books! Way to go Jamerrill, that’s awesome! I’m sure your friend will not be too overwhelmed, but maybe a room issue lol I would be totally grateful as I’m sure she will be. I’m a firm believer that one can’t have too many books when we have little ones. My kids read to me everyday, even if just a bit. Have a good week ahead! Hugs to all your little ones 🌞
