Just take any song from the live concert ‘from Lara with love’. She has so much impact live. You will certainly enjoy! Adagio is a classic composition, she wrote the text. Adagio means slowly.. it also is a musical term. She once performed In a life concert together with Johny Halliday (think,it was in Paris) ‘requiem pour un fou’. Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. Her biggest fans will let you know that her live performance of this song is required viewing! Also DO NOT MISS Dimash's 2017 performance of "Adagio" on the Chinese reality show, I Am Singer. He was inspired by Lara to perform it and she gave it an A+ review before agreeing to do a live performance with Dimash. They are now bosom buddies!

In the meantime i did react to the live version and it was incredible.

It is an unquestionable fact. Lara is part of the select Olympus of vocal goddesses, where very few enter, too much talent is required and Miss Fabian has had it since her father discovered her singing at the age of 5.

She has always been an amazing singer and song writer. There was a difficulty between Celine Dion and her manager/husband and Lara that reportedly stopped her becoming very well known in the USA. In Canada she is much better known especially among French Canadians.

Ugh, it's a crime to choose a studio version when she is the greatest live singer of all time. You could have had an other-worldly experience, and instead you got this luke warm crap. "From Lara With Love" is her classic concert. It has her most famous version of "Adagio" as well.
