Lao fried chicken + papaya salad is a nice combo! The chicken looks (and sounds) incredibly crunchy

The Kao Piek Sen is my fave soup to make! The powder you would use to make the noodles are rice flour and tapioca starch. Noodles are easy to make!! You should try one day 😋

I am a Laotian American that has never traveled to Laos, but hope to one day have the opportunity to go. This is the first video of yours that I watched and I am just in awe!! It is so refreshing to watch such a free spirit travel a foreign country alone, I am fluent (partially) in Laos and I still wouldn’t feel comfortable traveling Laos without my momma. You are a brave person for being open with trying all of the weird funky smelly foods that most Americans would not dare try. Thank you for respecting the culture and educating others as well. You are more Lao than most Laotians I know. 😂 Your channel is awesome, definitely deserves more subs! PS. After watching this vid, I called my mom and asked her to teach me how to make Khao piak sen. Thanks to you I enjoyed an afternoon bonding with mom and learned a new recipe.

Used to go there every week at 5 am they open at 3 am but the best prices are at 5 am, the besy bagguet and bug, are in the lao skirt area, i love the lao morning market

So glad you did a video on Laos 😊. Not alot of peoples know about Laos. FYI, Laos/Thailand speak same almost same languages, except Thai has a accent. Laos is located next to Thailand. As for foods, both love Spicy,Sour,Bitter, Salty, and sometimes Sweet. Great video Max!

Hi Max the noodles are made out of rice flour and tapioca flour 1/2 and 1/2. Tapioca flour give it that sticky and chewy texture and rice flour kind of soften it down .

Man, this is unbelievable. i've never seen foreigner tried so much local Lao food like you. Especially, bags of bugs (most foreigner don't even bother to try local food). I'm so impress that you eat sausage with sticky rice and sauce (Jeow) just like we local do :D Khouvieng fried chicken with tum mark houng, that's lit lol Great Video by the way.

Ooh been waiting for you to post your Laos videos :D Was there the same time as you but was always a city behind! haha My parents are from Laos so makes me happy when people visit the country. Also appreciate you trying out food influences in other countries (your previous video you tried Viet food in Korat, Thailand). My parents are Chinese but they grew up eating Lao, Thai, Viet and Chinese cuisine in Laos so it's awesome you paid attention to these influences. :)

Helloooo Max from the land of Laos. Very hot and tropical. Made my day dude. Wow that’s a large market with lots of thing to buy, or see. Grilled sticky rice, I think I’m going to try that in my bbq. Here we go, soup is good lot of good taste. You are so good in slurping that noodles no red spot on your white shirt😁😁. Omg, I just had a wrapped sticky rice wrapped in banana leave for breakfast.
