Bella Pearce he is actually quite well versed it's just in Korea sometimes we miss out words if we feel it's obvious what we are trying to say like how you will shorten words in English. Then if the person doesn't get it we repeat it fully. Like 'to a movie in the cinema' If my friend doesn't understand she says 'what?' Or 'who' Then I rephrase 'I went to watch a movie in the cinema' ect

i honestly wonder how articulate tae would be if they let him speak in dialect? i think he just has a hard time working around that. i mean, whenever he stops trying to speak seoul dialect, and just speaks like he grew up speaking, it rolls off his tongue easily. and yoongi i think understands him the most because they come from almost the same region, i.e., same or close to the same dialect, just yoongi found it easier to learn seoul dialect.

Given how long Korea has existed - around 5,000 years - you can imagine how different each dialect of the language may have become. Over the past 50 years or so, thanks to broadcast, we have closed the gap to a large extent, but still there are differences. It’s not about formal or informal. Different dialects have different sets of formal and informal ways of speaking. Verbs are conjugated differently, different words are used, not to mention there are major intonational and phonetic disparities between dialects. Adjusting to the standardized ways of speaking seems to come fairly easy to some people like Yungi and Jimin. But not to V. Given his upbringing - he grew up spending most of his younger days with his grandma, old generation that got less influenced by TV or Radio, it is understandable though. I myself grew up in the countryside speaking differently until I had to move to Seoul after middle school. I have lived here now longer than I lived in that southern town I was born in, but I still mix thing up unconsciously. And when I am in a situation where I feel subconscious about this and try to speak formally, I end up making all sorts of stupid mistakes. Although I didn’t come clean at first, this is how I can relate to him.

Aminah Masood I don’t know if you’re American but one way to remember dialect is to think of how everyone talks in different states. Like in the south they have long drawls when they talk so they sound a bit slow when they talk compared to a person in the East whose drawl is short, fast and has more emphasis on certain words.

It's because of his heavy Daegu accent, which he never really lost like the other members, in Daegu the words are very heavy and slow and you need to pronounce them with all of your mouth . But in Seoul words are spoken naturally fast and clear. That's why he sometimes has a hard time with Seoul accent

Idk but i used to have the same problem. I found a love for writing and reading, and i now write alot, so my ability to communicate or use the right terms have improved. It took about 2 years of reading and writing a lot. I went through at least ab book a week

Well I am also like v I live in india and there are 22 languages in india and I can speak in marathi (mother tongue) hindi ( national language)and English and so when I speak a sentence in marathi I add english and hindi words also in it and so language is also broken by me. For those who don't know; 'si' in Hangul is 시 and actually pronounced 'shi' - hence why it is in fact completely normal for V to mispronounce 'sit down'. He's often confused but this was definitely because of Korean language haha :D

I have a reading and writing comprehension disability due to my seizures. I have struggled with it my entire life. Through high school was the hardest, so having to see how he struggles with his words is not uncommon for many people to go through the same situation. Every individual has their special talent and some may be good at one thing whereas others maybe good at another. We are all unique which makes the world more interesting. Remember, normal is overrated.

Fitting in allows Taehyung to blend in with everyone else, but Taehyung being different allows Him to be just Himself, to be unique and to be more creative... We army sees his passion into his craft and where Taehyung is really good and great at. Him always a first-rate version of himself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. This is the Real Kim Taehyung that I've seen from teenage years and now He is surprisingly unpredictable and authentic. Not just V but the rest of BTS members. They're all superb ☺️ 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
