💜 ABOUT ME:
Hi and welcome! I'm Tanya and the only thing I like more than learning languages is probably talking about learning languages (well, that and hoarding language books).
My native language is Russian and I'm currently in different stages of learning English, Spanish, Polish, Italian, Korean, and Japanese.

I always worry about “distracting” myself with too many languages to learn but this video gave me motivation to keep doing what makes you happy! I subscribed so I can keep following you in our journey with Japanese, Spanish and Polish! Love from Italy ❤
Oh, wonderful. I've been afraid of purchasing language textbooks only to grow bored and end up put them down. I do see some I might like and I think I'll try them. Thanks.
Lovely bookshelf. I've always wanted a ton of books but $$. Thank god for libgen tho

Ooo! Thank you for the recomendations! I'll definetly need to buy these spanish books!
Great books for learning Polish. I’m Polish myself, but my husband is learning my native language right now. I’ll buy these for him :)

Yep, these books are amazing! I wrote a short thread on twitter about why I like the Krok po kroku series - you can check it out here if you want: twitter.com/botanechka/status/1585340869586325504?s=20
That was sooo interesting! Many channels usually recommend the same boring Spanish textbooks but here I found a lot of great books😍 Hope to buy them soon🤩

Thank you for your recommendation! I have already been using effective extensions like DeepL and Immersive Translate for a long time. Especially, Immersive Translate has been incredibly helpful for me. I will definitely consider trying out what you've recommended.
Omg Thank you for the Links! & on Notion?! You are too kind 🤩🤗🫂 loving the content and substance you bring. Keep being awesome. Edit: the page you opened on the Dirty Italian book 🤣

For French Try Dèfi & Cosmopolite (A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2)
Thanks a lot! I was just looking for some text books to improve my Polish ☺❤
I'm native Spanish speaker, and when I saw those book in your bookshelf makes me smile🤗I'm glad you like it that much ❤ Also, your accent when you speak sounds from Spain, not Russian which it is really impressive :D My bookshelf is still little, I'm only have two English books and a couple of French. Because I started to learn those two languages two months age. I'm more focus in English, because it's more important nowdays😆 Un abrazo enorme desde Argentina💖

Are these textbooks useful when we learn Spanish from Duolingo? Also do they have Spain accent since Duolingo focuses on the Spain accent as far as I know

@@Rana22222 If I'm honest, I haven't use Duolingo. I use Bussu, because I can send my exercices to natives speakers and they tell what I did wrong. Textbooks: I use them because they also give me an idea in wich level I'm in, I also want at same point do the international language test, I want to learn grammar. It's depends on you, maybe you only prefer an app because you can't stick to do a lesson on paper because it's boring or you prefer something more interactive. if you want a honest review ask Tanya in her next video because I don't know those Spanish books, I only can reccomend you English and French textbooks.

Yay I'm so happy you posted this!! Whenever you study using a workbook, how much time do you dedicate that you feel has been working for you?
Thank you for this video. I'd love to see your French books in more detail. If you make another video on books, please tell us the publishers of your favourite books. Sometimes I could see a logo on the front cover, but if you like the look of one, it can be helpful to find more resources of the same kind in another language in their catalog. The books I've seen from East Asia in your other videos are so physically attractive. I lived in Japan for a while, and love the style of supplementary texts (not main grammar texts so much).
Podziwiam naukę polskiego :) . Osobiście jestem native speakerem, ale nigdy bym się go nie nauczyła gdyby nie to, że tu się urodziłam
Thank you ❤
Just a comment on the "dirty" books: they are actually not as silly as they look, there is a lot of commentary in English explaining different cultural nuances.
Thanks for sharing! I too get a lot of my books from thrift stores and the library. I just got a nice Spanish reader and a couple of novels on my most recent outing. I also study Japanese, Polish, and German.

Gracias Tanya por el video. Una consulta ¿Cómo comenzaste a estudiar japonés y cuales fueron tus recursos?
I would appreciate it if you make a video about your Spanish books here. 😊
I'm Polish and I've never learned grammar, much less phonetics. Nice to see someone who want to learn my native language! The great Polish book witch you recommended is not a set book. Akademia Pana Kleksa is the set book. The movie was great. Great book is for children who learn how to read, for example Beata Ostrowicka "Moje pierwsze czytanki" or Czytanki Sy-La-Bo-we Anna Sójka. I've bought both ot them for my little daughter, who will be learn read. In Poland small child learn read through syllables.
could you please recommend something to read in korean for level 1? Thanks
oh, it's so exciting seeing someone learning polish:D good luck with that!

What app were you reading in on your iPad that has an in-app translation feature?
Wow keep going
Nice video ❤ well I would like to ask which app you use for translating words while reading on tablet?
@tbenavente

I usually just use whatever built-in features there are on the reading app. The one in this video was Google Play Books, but iBooks and the Kindle app also have similar features
Очень классный канал и прекрасные рекомендации! Может ты всё-таки вспомнишь книги, которые можешь порекомендовать для начального уровня испанского? Если нет, то все равно спасибо за контент!

Can you please make a video for Italian learning resources? Junco veo contenido de gente aprendiendo italiano so no se si los libros en Amazon son buenos o no 😢 I was so happy when I found your channel because I saw that you’re learning Italian and I’m also interested in learning it for myself and my family. So can you please recommend work books or books in general, physical or online, and maybe some strategies and tips? Gracias! :)

Me gusta Anki también pero la verdad es que soy demasiado vaga para crear nuevas flashcards de manera consistente 😅

Hi Tanya, can German be written using the English sentence structure? I have done my own own research and found out that German has the same sentence structure as English. Is this true? 😊😊
@tbenavente
Жыл бұрын
Hi! From what I understand German is different from English in that it can have SVO structure in some cases (although the V2 word order rule can override that) and SOV in other cases (like subordinate clauses, for example), whereas English is an SVO language. I am in no way an expert on German grammar though!

Hey! If you ever get round to greek, I have a bunch of suggestions of great resources that I've used 😀 most of them are in greek but you seem to be used to that so it won't be a problem after you've gotten past the very beginner stages 😊 With the book that you've got, I recommend checking the date of it because greek changed fairly recently in quite a lot of ways, I'm not sure the exact date but I think like the 80s (maybe later), but if the words in your book have more than one accent (unless it's just a few words), then chances are it's old and you'll want a new book Here's some of the books and resources I've used that I've really liked - GreekPod101 to get to an A1/2 level Then Ελληνικά Α which is a textbook In greek for A1/2 Now I'm using Κλικ series which goes from A1 to c1 and also the ελληνικά β book which is B1 but the series doesn't go further anymore There's also an absolute must which is free online called something like greek grammar for beginners a1-2 which explains the basic grammar in English which was amazing for me because I've never learnt a language with cases before Anyways,I'm sure this won't be useful for ages haha but maybe one day! Greek is a beautiful and wonderful language + I really enjoy your videos and your style, it's very calming 😊 Best of luck with all of your languages
